The last thing I remember is screaming. My head slamming into my window. Then blackness. Next thing I knew, I was blinking, waking up. I was in a little cot. When I tried to sit up, I found myself cuffed to the bed frame.
"What the hell? Hello? Hello!" I shouted. I couldn't see anything beyond my cot. It was so dark. There was a little stand next to me with a candle on it and that was it. The candle was one of those big pillar ones. I picked it up and looked at it. It seemed different from a normal candle. I found that it was in fact a fake one. I could've burned them with a real one, so this was probably smart on their part. Whoever they are. So I sat here, cuffed to this stupid little cot, in the friggin dark, just waiting. My head hurt and felt sticky, so I'm sure it's bleeding. I felt nauseous. I could go on with my problems, but I feel like that'd take too long. Besides, I just heard a noise... Somewhere in front of me.
"H-hello?" It was Lilly, I'd recognize her voice anywhere.
"Lil? Lil! Where are you?" All of a sudden another not-candle blinked to life a few feet away, illuminating a small part of her.
"Cam? Is that you?"
"Yeah it's me! Where the hell are we? What's going on?"
"I think it was the humans. Before I blacked out, I saw them carrying you and Amy into the truck that hit us. I wish there was more light in here.."
"Yeah... That'd be nice."
As if somebody heard us, fluorescent lights flickered to life over us, illuminating the room. Yep, a room. It contained five cots and five Supernaturals. Somewhere to my left, there was a small door with no window. No light switches. No anything. The room was bare other than us, the cots, and the stands with the not-candles. The walls were painted black. The floor was black carpet. When the lights came on, the others began to stir.
"Well that's the second time we've been knocked out and kidnapped. Although the car crash was new." I quipped.
"Ugh. No kidding. We've gotta figure out how to-"
"Shut up!" Amy yelled. We all looked at her in shock.
"What is up with you?" Lily asked what we were all thinking.
"The room. Look in the corners." We all looked around. Cameras. One in each corner.
"They probably have sound." She said, her point proven.
"So they can like hear us? Right now?" Wren wondered.
"Well I mean I didn't install the cameras, so I wouldn't know for sure, but I would think."
"She's probably right guys," I said, "No talking about personal stuff." I emphasised the personal. So we layed in those cots, cuffed to the frame, for about 4 hours, 8 minutes, and 26 seconds. Not that I was counting. Then the door opened. Somebody wearing black from head to toe walked in. And when I say head to toe, I mean from black ski mask to black tennis shoes with black laces. He just walked in, undid all our cuffs, then walked out. I could tell he was a human by his scent. I would've read his thoughts but I hadn't figured out how to do that yet. I guess he figured we'd all be too stunned and confused to attack him. I guess he was right. The door stayed open, though. I looked around the room at all my closest friends. Basically my family. Then I said it. What I could tell we were all thinking.
"Let's go."
I walked out of the room first, followed by Wren, then Lily, Amy next, and Katie came out last. I figured two shapeshifters would be the best protection. We followed a hallway that led away from our room. The walls out here was all grey and the floor was a shade of off-white linoleum. A nice change from black. I rolled my eyes. The hallway led to another open door. We went through that door to find it the same gray as the hallway. It was about the same size as the room we woke up in. As soon as we all walked in, the door we came through creaked shut. I looked around the room we were now stuck in. It was completely empty except for one table smack dab in the middle of the room. There was carpet in this one though. we did notice there was no cameras in here though.
"But even if there isn't any cameras, we have to assume they bugged it or something. Let's look around for something." I said. I mean, they wouldn't just put us in here without having some way to keep an eye on us. Or an ear.
All of a sudden Amy shouted, "I found it!"
The little mic had been taped under a seat on the table. I took it and crushed it between my thumb and index finger.
"Ok we only have limited time before they rush in here. So next time we are in our cuffs , Katie and I can shift into something and just get out, Wren, if you can make your hand go fast enough, you can just phase out of it, and then we can get you two out."
"Ok that's all good and well, but what about after?" Amy asked. Such a thinker, that one.
"Well, I'm pretty sure a bear or two could break down a door. I'm open to other suggestions though."
The door swung open. Not the one we came through, but one on the opposite side of the room. Twenty people armed to the teeth came pouring into the room. We positioned ourselves, ready to fight but not about to start anything. They pushed a button on a little remote and the door behind them shut and the one we came through opened. I don't know what they originally brought us in here for, but now we were being put away again. We walked back down the same hallway, the soldiers following after us. They cuffed us all again then left, the door shutting behind them. As we sat there, cuffed to the cots again, I realized something about our escape plan. The cameras. They'd see what we were doing and be in here immediately. Getting everybody's attention, I used my free hand and pointed them out. They nodded, getting it.
"I can take care of that. I do know a little about myself." Amy whispered. We all got what she was meaning. She closed her eyes, muttering under her breath, and then a him line of smoke rose from each camera.
"Ready to go guys?"
