"You have not fallen asleep yet?" Seymour asked me. I was laying down on the grass looking up to the stars. I sighed and rolled over onto my stomach resting my head on my folded arms. Flicked my eyes casually to the group finding Auron to be up too.

"No, my head is spinning with the many uncountable scenarios for the near future that I'm praying to Yevon I have the strength to deal with." I confessed.

"It's pointless to worry about that, focus on here and now to strengthen yourself. Let what may come, when you expect something you're less flexible." Auron said in a hushed tone as not to wake the others.

"Yes but, if you don't anticipate what is coming you would be unprepared for it. Isn't that a disadvantage?" I questioned.

"Typically yes, when facing an opponent. However, you're not facing one that is tangible so it doesn't apply." He said.

"You lost me." I blinked slowly at him before releasing a yawn.

"He's saying that in battle it is wise to plan ahead but when waiting for fate to take it's coarse it is best not to worry. What happen will happen and most of the time we are powerless to stop it." Seymour broke it down for me.

"Wow, sounds gloomy." I grumbled giving him a dry look.

"It's the truth though." He said.

"Only partially. You can change you fate if you simply take control of it." Auron disagreed.

"Yeah, I think that too which is why my brain is going to explode any minute now!" I agreed throwing myself back onto my back.

"I have yet to see a person change their own fate so I can't say I believe you." Seymour said.

"Then keep watching." Auron grunted out.

"Very well then, I'm looking forward to the lesson." Seymour said with pleasant sarcasm.

"Good, maybe you'll learn to be less gloomy all the time." I glared at him moodily.

"Gloomy? I don't believe myself as gloomy, just realistic." He defended.

"More like pessimistic." I countered.

"It's not pessimistic is reality is cruel." Seymour said.

"Only if you see it that way. Even in the bleakest of times you can shape your story out to be a happy one if you wish it to be so." Auron butted in.

"See! It's all about how you view the world Seymour! I know it's been hard on you so far but it doesn't doom your future to be the same. Don't let it drag you down anymore." I said. Seymour blinked down at me for a second with a look of deep thought. He shook his head as if clearing his head then laid down. "Anyways, wake me up when you get tired Auron." I yawned curling up into a ball.

"Fine then." He said gruffly. I feel asleep for what seemed like a second before I was being shook awake by Auron. "UUhhhggg......I'm up. Go to sleep." I sat up rubbing my eyes tiredly with a yawn. Auron nodded and laid down leaving me alone to watch over the group alone. I blinked slowly and looked around for any signs of fiends with my bow and an arrow out. Not that I was confident that I could take down one in the dark. I would probably wake one up to help me fight it off.

I continued to watch over my friends becoming more and more alert as time ticked by. I saw some movement off in the distance so I stood up and focused my view on that area and the surrounding area. It started coming closer soon revealing itself to be a Skoll. 'Again with the fucking Skolls!' I growled lowly running towards it.

I was going to jab it in the eye with an arrow but the thing had other plans for me. I missed it terribly as it jumped to the side then plowed into me. Thus began our struggle for survival. Its jaw snapped around my wrist containing the arrow rendering it useless. I screamed waking up the group. They started yelling and ran to me weapons at the ready. I growled, infuriated that I couldn't take care of a fiend on my own. I grabbed another arrow with my other hand and wrestled down the Skoll. I shoved my knee into its throat and stabbed the arrow through its eye, killing it on the spot.
