How rude of me to not introduce myself. My name is Tiana and I'm a black Queen - well I think I am and so does my family and my friends so I like to keep the title. I'm independent, intelligent and I'm on the quest for happiness. A couple days ago I told this guy called Isiah I liked him, I'm not usually this brave to just blurt it out but it just so happened to come up in conversation. We haven't exactly moved forward from that conversation and it's making me wonder if he really likes me, we talk everyday but the conversations are basic things like "wuu2" "how are you" it's like we're avoiding the topic but I was starting to grow impatient, I locked myself in my room with my phone so that I had no distractions and decided to get things sorted.
Text conversation
Tiana: Hey Isiah
Isiah: Yo Tiana
Tiana: Can I ask you a question, it's been bugging me for a while
Isiah: Sure go ahead
Tiana: Okay so my friends know what's going on right and they've asked me this question too, sooo I like you and you kinda like me, I would date you and you would date me - so why aren't we dating?
Isiah: Idk
Tiana: Oh, that's not an answer though
Isiah: Okay, do you want to go out with me.
Tiana: Yeah. Wait what?
Isiah: What. Lol
Tiana: Do you mean it do you honestly want to go out?
Isiah: Yeah I'm actually serious.
I stared at my phone trying to contemplate what had happened. Isiah asked me out?! My heart beat picked up the pace and my breathing quickened. My crush asked me out? Finally!
We've had our moments before where we kinda told each other we liked each other but we always tossed our feelings aside and moved on. We were such great friends that people thought we were dating. Ages ago he asked me out but the circumstances were wrong, I couldn't take him seriously due to the fact that we had only just began talking, I didn't want to get played.
I immediately texted my friends the good news. But my friends had never liked Isiah they saw him as childish, annoying, immature and ugly but I was completely memorised by his charm, his laid back vibe and his ability to always make me smile.
I was thinking about how great life would be now that I could call Isiah my boyfriend. I fell asleep with hope in my heart, knowing that life would be great.
