Making up

I arose from my slumber and I could hear voices from downstairs. I peeked in Alyssia's room and could see she wasn't there. I took a shower and changed into some simple jeans with my Supply and Demand hoody, I put my hair in a sleek bun and headed downstairs where to my suprise I saw a familiar face.

"Hey Tiana", smiled Jermaine
"Oh wassup Jermaine, I wasn't expecting to see you here", I said hinting to Alyssia that I was fully baffed. We only met this nigga yesterday and she was already having him up here in our humble abode.
"Tiana, Jermaine was in the neighbourhood and decided to pass by, we're going out to lunch in about half and hour feel free to join us", Tiana said without taking her eyes off Jermaine. She must of been fully whipped on this guy to already be agreeing to go on dates. " No I'm going to stay home and relax, thanks though", I said shaking my head. I ran upstairs back to my room as I checked my phone. Not one message from Isiah.  Surely he couldn't of forgotten, he's my boyfriend, boyfriends don't forget things like that, not my boyfriend.

I lay back on my bed watching Love and Hip Hop Atlanta. A couple minutes later I heard the door slam, I'm guessing they had already left. I went downstairs and went into the kitchen to try prepare something for breakfast and to no surprise Alyssia had forgotten to go grocery shopping. How sensational.
I slipped on my black origin Jordans and hopped into my Land Rover and made my way to the store. I was nodding my head along to Future- thought it was a drought, when I heard my phone ping. I was trying to be a safe driver and so I carried on driving to the store.

Once I was parked outside I sat in my car with my music still playing as I checked my messages.

Text conversation

Isiah: You alright?
Tiana: Nope, why'd you ask?
Isiah: Why?
Tiana: Cause of people ruining my birthday
Isiah : Oh Yeahh happy birthdayy, what they doing?
Tiana: Fuck off about oh yeah happy birthday
Isiah: Lol soz I knew I was forgetting something important yesterday
Tiana: Soz not even sorry? Wow
Isiah: Soz and sorry mean the same thing 😣 Kl then. I'm sorry
Tiana: Alyssia gon beat yo ass
Isiah: Oh lol why?
Tiana: For forgetting my birthday, word she gon be pissed
Isiah: I was actually so busy and I'm not trying to say you're not important or anything it's just a lot was going on. Sorry that I forgot
Tiana: But we were talking yesterday?
Isiah: We only sent two messages.
Tiana: That's still talking and it didn't occur to you that it was my birthday? Cool
Isiah: I kept telling myself I was forgetting something important but I couldn't remember I'm sorry
Tiana: ok

I was so pissed at the fact that I had to remind him that he forgot my birthday. I would never forget his birthday, ever. But I guess our importance to one another isn't mutual.

I put in my beats earphones and walked into the store picking up some groceries. As well as some ingredients for breakfast lunch and dinner I also picked up some extra things like ice cream and tissues, I had a feeling I was going to do a lot of crying.

I returned home, kicked off my shoes, showered and changed into my shorts and jumper, I was in the comfort of my own home after all. I decided to work on my tumblr account. I had to make it lit! Alyssia's tumblr was already lit so she didn't have to worry. My tumblr was on its way to becoming popular. I was just about to switch on another one of my favourite movies when I heard the doorbell ring. It's definitely not Alyssia unless she left her key at home.

I got up and opened the door and I could see a box of Belgain Chocolates and red roses on the door step. I read the note attached:

I apologise a million times for forgetting you birthday and I curse myself for it. Please forgive me,

Ps: go to your balcony "

I ran upstairs to my room and opened my balcony door to see Isiah standing there. He hugged me tightly whispering "sorry" into the crook of my neck. "It's okay Isiah I forgive you". He picked me up bridal style and carried my downstairs to the living room and rested me gently on the sofa whilst kissing my forehead. He went to the kitchen and got us two bowls of mint chocolate chip ice cream, he put in the movie "Boyz in the Hood".

" Rickyyyyyy!!"

I chuckled slightly but as I looked over Isiah's eyes were watering. "Are you crying?", I laughed. "Yes, it's sad", he said emphasising his sadness. "Nigga you're sarft, S-A-A-R-F-T", I laughed poking him gently. "I ain't soft, you're just heartless",he said pushing me softly. "Oh so you're bad now, you wanna fight, huh? Square up", I stood up. "Nah ma, I don't fight females", he said putting his hands up in defence. I punched his arm causing him to get up and throw me over his shoulder. "Aye, I don't fight girls, but you're being bad and bad girls get beatings", he laughed chucking me on the couch.
Section boyz - Trapping ain't dead , started playing - his ringtone. He got up and went to the kitchen to answer it. I couldn't hear what he was saying but he came back in a couple minutes later saying that he had to go. " But you haven't even been here long", I pouted. "I know, I know, I just got to handle some things, we'll talk later". He kissed me and walked out the door I watched him from the window as he climbed into his car.
I sighed and cleaned up our ice cream bowls until I realised that Alyssia wasn't even home yet it was coming up to 8 o'clock, that has got to be the longest lunch date ever. I chilled on the couch watching the ending of Boyz in the hood and she just so happened to step through the door.

"Well, well,well, Miss Alyssia Jones, that was certainly a long lunch date, now tell me everything!", I said looking up from the couch. " It was good, we went out to eat then he took me back to his place where we just chilled, nothing special", she shrugged. Hmm, there's got to be more to it than that. "Chilling? Watch yourself Alyssia, chilling makes children", I wagged my finger in her face. She bit my finger jokingly as I acted hurt. "I know you love me", I cheesed. "You know I do".
