I had decided today was a good day to go jogging in my local park. Boy did this park bring back some memories, it brought back primary school memories, high school memories and well Isiah memories too. I bent down to tie my shoelace and as I stood up, speak of the devil, Isiah was standing right in front of me. "Woah so you couldn't say hey, you almost gave me a heart attack", I said rolling my eyes annoyed at his presence. "Well sorry, I saw you and decided to say wassup, so wassup", he shrugged smiling. "Nothing", I said. "Nothing? Oh cool. Aren't you gonna ask wassup with me?", he said speed walking after me. "Not really, I honestly don't care", I said putting in my earphones. I'm usually not this rude or ignorant but him just being here seemed to really annoy me. "Well, I broke up with Jani", he smiled. "Cool, why?". "Cause she ain't you", he said attempting to wrap his arm around my shoulder but missed because I dodged him. "I ain't up for your bullshit I have a man". "Oh shit are you engaged", he said holding my hand up to examine my rock. I snatched my hand away quickly, "no I'm not married it's a promise ring from Chris", I said admiring my ring. "Oh yeah I remember Chris", he said with attitude I watched as he clenched and unclenched his fists. I badly wanted to laugh at his jealousy but I just sipped my beverage instead. "He's obviously hitting right, you look good- well-fit - healthy", I cut him halfway through, "why the hell are you rambling on about nonsense", I snapped. "Sorry I was just - nothing", he sighed. I rolled my eyes scrolling through my work out playlist until he said something which caught me off guard. "Oh look is that Jani!", he said pointing to some girl in the distance. I kissed my teeth in annoyance, what was this nigga playing at. I didn't say anything cause I was trying to refrain myself from saying some slick shit that could get me into trouble. As the girl got nearer it was blatantly not Jani. "Oops it's not her", he shrugged smirking. He was obviously trying to strike a nerve but I was calm and collected. We ended up walking home together due to our houses being so unfortunately close, the whole journey was filled with unnecessary conversation mostly on his part. I was thankful that I had managed to get home without beating his ass, he could be so petty and childish.

I walked into the kitchen to see Alyssia sitting at the Island eating an apple, "hey girl how was your jog". "Fine until I saw Isiah", I rolled my eyes. "Aw shit spill the tea", she leaned in closer attentively.

"No way he had the audacity to say is that Jani!", Alyssia shouted. "Mhmm but luckily the Lord refrained me from pouncing on him and beating his ass". Alyssia laughed hard and tried regaining her breath, "Violence is not the way, you gotta stay calm, plus you have Chris now you ain't gotta worry about that Isiah fool". "But he so annoying", the thought of him was making me angry. I was in the middle of ranting when Jermaine entered the kitchen. "Shit Tiana, who spat in your koolaid", he laughed. "You're dickhead friend Isiah, that's who. He turned up at the park while I was out jogging being his usual petty self", I slammed my hand down on the table causing it to tingle with pain. "Woah calm down, I already told him to you leave alone damn. He was hitting me up the other day asking me to help him get you back but I was like nah I can't do that to my bro Chris", he said wrapping his arms around Alyssia. "Well shit then", Alyssia shook her head. Isiah needs to just butt out my life, I've managed to find happiness without him and he needs to accept that he lost me due to his foolishness. "But it's weird though cause he been asking me advice about his ex called Jordan who he claims he loves and had always loved which makes no sense to me cause if he loved consistently then he wouldn't of dated other girls but he says he dated all those girls to try get over her", Jermaine carried on. "Oh great so he cheated on me with Jani physically and he was mentally cheating on me as well cause he loved Jordan. Me and Jordan are pretty close though, she's my g", I rubbed my temples in frustration, "so I'm guessing all those love poems that were on his Instagram and all those indirects on his Snapchat were about Jordan and not me". Jermaine looked down to his shoes, "Everything you said was true, all about Jordan - everything. He cheated on her too while they were dating with some girl called Janelle. He claimed he only did it for popularity though and he regrets it". The room fell into silence but it wasn't a comfortable silence it was very awkward. I went upstairs to change from my sweaty sports wear. I went to the bathroom to tend to my now throbbing hand which had now turned slightly red. I showered to take my mind off of Isiah who had seemed to be running through my thoughts. You ain't shit you weren't special till I made you so. I sighed and stopped the water stepping out and drying my self off, I lotioned up and threw on one of Chris's oversized t-shirts, it had the scent of his Versace men's Eros Eau de toilette cologne. I heard the front door close so I'm guessing it was Jermaine leaving, I went downstairs to go get some snacks, since I was planning on staying in my room for the whole night, I just needed to to contemplate. I went to my fridge and got out a bottle of K.A. and a Hershey's cookie and creme bar. Just as I was about to bite into my chocolate bar memories of Isiah came flooding back.
