***LUCY HALE ABOVE PLAYS RIA***
------------------------My feet hit concrete.
The same concrete where I had shed blood by the hand of Krylan. My heart clenched at the thought. Krylan. I have to make this right. I just have to. Feeling a gaze on me, I slowly tilted my face up. A wicked grin met my eyes. I internally cringed, but I shoved the biggest smile onto my face.
"Father."
The green tubes in his neck cast a haunting glow upon his face as he gave me a movie star smile. That was the smile that used to make my heart happy. That was the smile of my father. Not the monster that stood in front of me.
"My daughter," he purred, "have you finally made your decision?"
"Of course. I would have earlier if that," I pointed to Lucas' limp body,"wouldn't have drug me back onto earth. Some people just can't take no for an answer." I shrugged and slid a grin onto my face.
"Very well then," he started, "the deal is sealed. Krylan, Lucas, and your mother will not be harmed. I can assure you that." With a Kurt nod he signaled one of the Kalers. "Magnus," the thing walked up to him and bowed. Wow, dramatic pieces of bread. "Bring him in," my father told him.
Oh, no.
Keep it together. This is the hardest part. Straight face, eye contact, no crying. You got this, Sapphire. You are a strong goddess and this is no big deal. Okay, so maybe it's a big deal but it's nothing you can't handle. You did that to Lucas. So just do it again. No biggie-
"Sapphire."
Well, shit.
There goes all of that. Tears started to swell up in my eyes and my non existent heart shattered a little more. There he stood, milky white eyes. He was staring at everything and nothing all at once. That curly brown hair of his was effortlessly styled to perfection. But I knew it wasn't my boy."Krylan," I whispered, voice cracking.
He stepped out from behind my father and drug his eyes up and down my body coldly. Then he turned towards my father and bowed. Instead of kicking them both in the face, I decided to pøint someone out I hadn't noticed before now.
"Ah, bitch. Long time no see. How is my ole father treating you now, y'know, since you kidnapped me?" I asked, and smiled brightly at a glowering Ria. She flipped me the middle finger in response, but she remained silent. Oh uh uh, no way. "How's your dear old dad doing?"
Her face flushed a deep red in anger. "Oh wait," I started, "he's dead." I smiled as she took a step towards me."You little-," she started, flaming.
"Enough. Now Krylan, my boy, come here to me," my father called, beckoning Krylan to him with his finger. Krylan immediately stepped forward and kneeled down in front of his throne. God, why was he doing that, it makes me want to kick him in the face.
My father reached into his shirt and drew a tiny vial out. It shone bright for such a little thing. It was brighter than one of those expensive flashlights. I gasped at the sight. Baleo looked to me then back to Krylan, "This, boy, is your soul. My dear Sapphire has won it back for you. And you could go home with your brother and live a long, unharmed life."
I saw Krylan firmly shake his head, "I don't want to stop serving you, sir. This has been the best time of my life. I don't care about them." My eyes clenched shut. Now that one hurt. A lot.
Baleo chuckled, "We will see how you feel after this." With that, he uncapped the vial and motioned for Krylan to tilt his head back. Krylan did so and opened his mouth. The bright liquid flowed from the tube and into Krylan's mouth. After the last drop was poured, Krylan visibly swallowed.
Krylan turned towards me, and my mouth dropped open.
His throat was glowing gold under his skin and spiraling downward. I saw it slow spread through all of his veins under his skin. With wide eyes Krylan eyed his arms and looked back up to me. He was terrified. "What is happening to me?"
I'm a stupid person. And horrible at sticking to a plan. So it was no surprise when I ran up to him and dropped down at his feet. Tears welled up in his eyes, and one fell onto my forehead. It looked like he was hurting, and that was making me hurt too.
All of the sudden, his body started to spasm and he fell to the ground. His head thrashed violently back and forth while his body twisted at weird angles. Drool was slinging from his mouth and I was shocked still. Why was this happening? Wasn't it supposed to get better?
Then all at once, he fell still. The movements stopped. The drooling stopped. It all stopped. Shallow breaths rose his chest just a little and i sighed in relief. I pulled his head into my lap and ran my finger through his messy, soft curls. I smiled a little. I loved this boys hair. Finally he looked serene, and not in pain.
My smile faltered when I noticed a gold emitting from his chest, slowly engulfing his whole body. I shook my head and looked up at my father. "What's happening to him?" He smiled down at me like I was an innocent child.
"My sweet daughter, his soul is searing into his bones." My stomach twisted in knots as I looked down to Krylan's golden figure then back to my fathers dark one. He grinned, "Immensely." Anger flooded my veins, but when I was about to retaliate,
A golden light shot me backwards and into a wall.
Everything went dark.
