I landed on my back.

Hard.

My teeth clenched together as Lucas' hand came into view. Focusing all my heat to my hand, I swatted his away. It sizzled as he pulled it away and rubbed it. His face hardened in confusion. "Was that really necessary, Sapphire?"

I popped up from the ground and got into a defensive position. "It was about as necessary as this," I said as I pointed to me and him. My fist shot out towards him and he immediately blocked it. I tried to knock his legs out from under him, but he caught my leg.

With one twist we were on the ground grappling with each other. I got the better hand and rolled on top of him. Straddling his chest and pinning his arms and legs down with my own. My fist reared back and connected with his face.

"What I don't understand," I punched him. "Is why we have to do physical activity," I punched him again. "When I'm going to be asleep-." I was about to punch him again when he spit blood at me. Immediately my grip on him loosened as I frantically wiped my face.

"Gross," I stood up and started to walk away. A hand wrapped around my ankle and I fell down like a jenga tower. Lucas pinned me down quick, knocking all the breath out of my lungs. "Nice one," I wheezed.

"Never, ever let your guard down. Always expect something to come, nothing is ever over as quickly as it may seem. Keep your focus, or you may just end up losing everything," Lucas chastised me.

"Okay. Eye of the tiger from now on, I promise." I puckered my mouth to spit at him as he did to me, but he cupped his hand over my mouth before I had the chance. He leaned in close to my ear, "Don't even think about it, love."

Lucas' sudden shift closer allowed me to raise my knee up. So I reared it back and then straight into his back. With a growl, Lucas slowly rolled off me. I stood up a wiped the dirt off my pants. Which now had holes all in them. No thanks to Lucas.

As I leaned into his vision, all the Suns light faded from his eyes. "That was for spitting in my face." Swiftly, I turned around. But then I decided one more thing had to be done. I walked back to him and kicked him as hard as I could in the ribs.

He recoiled at the blow. "What was that for," he managed to get out.

"That was for my pants," I winked.

"Have a nice day, Coach."

With that I ran back to my house, craving sleep.

Craving The Forgotten Land.

When I got home, I sprawled out on my bed.

Lucas never mentioned the technique of going to this world. But I was pretty smart, I could figure it out. My eyes fell shut and I focused my whole being on Krylan. On his energy. His location. Everything about him.

His face was was not the last one I saw, though.

**SAPPHIRES SUBCONSCIOUS**

I didn't know where I was.

My body parts did not feel connected, it felt like I had been liquified. And I was a string of liquid fire shooting through a passage of complete darkness. All around me, ghostly faces danced along the sides of the passage.

And all at once I crashed into what felt like a wall. I was anything but dead. Somehow I even felt more powerful. Like I just drunk forty 5 Hour Energy Drinks. As I regained my balance I took in my surroundings.

One thing stood in front of me.

A gold door engraved with all kinds of red, weird symbols. But the symbols made sense to me. Probably because I was supposed to be a Goddess or Princess, or whatever. But I still couldn't quite decipher how to open it.
