After Lucas saw Sapphire's soul emerge from her body and get lost forever, he did nothing for days. Somehow he managed to get home, but he wished he wouldn't have. Never once did he move from his one spot soaking in the numbness. This all had to be a dream, they were going to come home soon. But soon the horrible reality slapped him across the face. And that's when he lost all of his sanity. Lucas ran into the cellar and saw the ingredients spread out on the the old table. He viciously knocked them off and flipped the table over. Sobs echoed through the room. Tears freely ran down his face, and for once he didn't stop them or try to hide it. After all, there wasn't anything to hide from anymore. Everything was gone.
Through his blurry eyes he looked up to the slightly cracked window with the symbol that ended everything. He ran over to it and smashed his fist through it. "Krylan you stupid idiot!" Blood ran down his fingers but he didn't stop until their was nothing left of the window. And his fist was a bloody mess. "If you would've just kept the cycle I would've let you have her everytime!"
He slid down the wall and buried his bloody hand in his greasy, black hair. "Now look where you have gotten us. You two are gone. And you no where I am?" Lucas shook his head and slammed it back against the wall. Tears still pooled and fell down his face as he clenched his teeth. Nothing was left for him, so he just let every single emotion envelop him.
"I'm all alone."

So like I said, there are no happy endings. Just once you think it's all over there is just another mishap waiting to be unfolded. People don't just get endless chances at life and they don't get what they want or what they deserve for that matter. You simply have to accept what you absolutely think is unbearable and bare it. The world will deal you your cards, you just got to play with what you have.
Never once did I think for a moment that everything would end how I wanted it to. I was never that foolish. Krylan didn't die for no reason, I've come to understand. His sacrifice was one of love. And what is better to die for than that?
I didn't know where Lucas was, but I hoped he would live his life and not wallow in our absences. I hoped he would be alright and not dare visit this world ever again. I even hoped he would find a girl that would make his day a little bit brighter because that's what he deserved.
Wherever my mother was, I hoped she would continue on her life with me. I don't want her to look at all the negatives we had, and trust me there was a lot, but at the positives. Like all the times we cooked together and even the little lapses of love we received from my father.
And as for me?
Well, I'll be forever drifting somewhere Inbetween. I did not occupy a body anymore but a bright ball of fire. The other lost souls are pretty nice. You wouldn't think it, but we could actually talk to each other. And I actually had a few friends. It wouldn't be so bad down here.
Those Braythwell boys flipped my life upside down and made it full of mystery, adventure, and of course danger. But I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. They messed up, as did I. But don't we all? This was only going to end one way, and the sooner I came to grip with that, the calmer I became.
Just remember, don't ask questions. Because once you do, well...
It becomes real.
And there's no undoing it.
