A Throne and a Baby

Chapter 2

Traveling around Denmark for these past three weeks was just perfect. Everything was

unique, right down to the building and people. Having coffee at the Taste of Denmark, which was a bakery and coffee shop. It was really a great place to relax. Gloria was having fun but I felt like she was not totally there.

"mom, are you okay"

"yeah honey just tired, But don't mind me" smiling "okay"

"are you sure I mean we can head back to the hotel we still have two more

days left"

"no, we still have a couple of places to go"

she grabbed her bag and continued walking. Smiling behind her maybe it was

me then. As we walked further down the block the trees were standing tall

making the light spill through. Grinning looked at Gloria, her eyes

were closed.

"this bring back so many memories"

"really of what" glancing sideways at the cars zoom by.

"Oh nothing, dear." then she began to walk again. It was a beautiful morning people

were walking around so we walked west and made sure we took pictures, so

we wouldn't get lost as we made it to the village. People were playing music,

eating, there were dogs running around.

"Wow, it's so pretty" Gloria said.

"Yes it is" when we reached the pond it was pretty big and looked down

when Gloria stiffened I looked up "what is the matter"

she didn't' answer all she did was stare beyond the pond to a man who sat

on a blanket reading a book.

"Mom, do you know who that is?"

"No, he just reminded me of somebody"

"oh" when I looked at the man he looked up from his book to look straight at us it seemed like he was trying to recognize us. When he smiled and waved I guess he realized who we were.

"mom he is waving at us"

she looked up and glared then she did the impossible, she flipped him off

and walked away when I stopped gapping I looked back at the man who was

now running to catch up to us.

She stopped and looked at the guy he looked like he was in his late

thirties with green eyes and dark black hair.

"Hello" he said

"Hi" I glanced at Gloria who was staring at a tree. He looked at Gloria

his smile faded when she looked at him. "So I see you still have a mean

streak" Gloria stiffened.

"So, you know my mother"

The man looked to me then to Gloria his smile faded. "Yeah, I know your

mom. She dated my brother, then she came up missing"

"that is enough Gregory" Gloria growled then she grabbed my sleeve and

began to walk but Gregory ran past us and looked at me

"So what is your name?"

"um...Ellie"

"Nice to meet you Ellie" he smiled and extended his hand; I shook it then glanced at Gloria.

"Nice to meet you too" walking forward but he stepped forward then looked

sheepish.

"Is there something you wanted" know beginning to get irritated at this man.

"Yes, since we have seen each other would you like to join me for lunch

with my wife"

Gloria eyes soften at the invitation. "Is Emily doing okay, last I heard

she was pregnant"

"yep, she was and little Annora is now going to college for pre-med"

"Really, that is wonderful my daughter is a doctor at the local hospital.

He looked at me and nodded his head, when he looked at Gloria "so is Ellie

and you here with anybody else"

"Nope, mother daughter time"
