Chapter 6

Then I was running down the stairs past Gregory and Max

"Ellie" I don't know who called me but I had to get out of there. I was

outside and down the drive as I reached the gate the guard looked at me.

"Open the gate, now"

"I'm sorry but I can't, I have orders to not let you out"

"fine, I'll find away" as I ran down the lining of the gate. I saw what I

was looking for; there were always vines along our wall at home I always

used them when I was younger. I heard yelling and shouting the sounds came

closer. I took three steps and ran up and grabbed the vine and began to

climb I was up and over before they reached me. I ran like I had wings and

ran until I was at the hotel. It was six when I got there nobody was in

the lobby so I ran into the elevator and headed to my room. Trying to find

my bags, which were in the same spot. Grabbing ahold of them and

my passport and went to Gloria's room knocked until she opened it she

looked sad.

"mom, I don't hate you so were going home to things we know"

she nodded, she grabbed her things and were off as we left the hotel we

left the hotel we heard sirens then saw the limo drive up and tow figures

running in. I turned back to look forward then my cell phone went off I

looked to see his number.

"it's him" Gloria asked

"yep, and I'm done"

"what is the matter did your dad do something"

"no, mom it's what he did to you" she leaned forward to get a good look at

me "who told you"

"Emily" I wanted to cry but I didn't want her to see me when it hurt so

much. Pulling into the Denmark airline we got out gave the cab driver

twenty and headed inside were it took at least fifteen minutes getting

luggage signed in. I haven't spoken to Gloria since we got here and right

know I really couldn't speak yet so when we were called to board the

flight we walked in silence as we were seated I looked out the window and

waited for us to take flight when I heard yelling then some running.

"Ellie, Gloria"

okay somebody was looking for us it was a woman's voice it was Emily with a

young women came through the door my heart stopped. The young woman

pointed us out they walked until they were standing in front of us.

"Gloria you can't leave again"

"no, Emily I have to go" Gloria sounded sad, then Emily looked my way

"Ellie why did you have to leave like that, you know you had us worried"

coming closer "please come with us"

my anger was just boiling higher and higher until I could couldn't hold it

in any more " excuse me, I have had a very weird vacation from meeting my

uncle who is the prince and his brother is the king of Denmark who is my

father. Who cheated on my mother. So no I will not go with you"

then the young woman spoke. "Ellie William, I know that my mother out

spoke herself but don't yell for something uncle did"

"well done annora but don't defend me for she has a lot to go on. I mean she

met her father and meet a prince to talk to " she smiled.

"Emily your holding the plane and I have patients waiting on me"

"understandable but come on let him explains"

"no...No...No!" I yelled "I don't want an explanation from him it's over

she has been my dad and I don't need another so leave"

my voice choked on the last word was high so I turned around and looked

away while the attendant ushered them away. When the plane was in air I

cried and just couldn't stop when we reached Florida I was happy that it

would take a couple of hours to get to Iowa. I fell asleep and when I woke

Gloria was on the plane's phone. I tried to move around she hung up the

phone.

"Who was that"

"it was marguerite, I was telling her I will be home soon my roses are in

bloom"

"great her flower always brought a smile to my face including her roses."

"Promise me that I get the yellow ones instead of the red one I'm not in

love so I want the yellow ones" she smiled.

"okay, Babe are you okay"

"yep I'm fine" she nodded, when we landed in des Moines I was happy to be

home as I dropped off Gloria at my child hood house. I drove to my one

bedroom apartment when I opened my door my two little dogs ran up to me.

"Lili" petting the black one and the white one "Lola" I brought them

from one of the nurses at the hospital there Siberian huskies. When I sat

down and turned on my TV and check my messages.

"Hey, this is Ellie sorry I'm not here but I'm gone to Denmark with my mom

so if this is an emergency call my cellphone but if not I will get back to

you as soon as I get back."

"Hey chica, this is Chloe found the files thanks babe"

shaking my head letting my message play as I went to the kitchen.

"Hello Ellie this is max I know you're not home yet but can we talk its

important" okay he sounded odd usually his message always started with a

question or a joke about work. Before I could grab the phone it began to

ring since Lili broke my caller id playing with Lola I have to wait until

the machine took the voicemail. But thinking it might be max I answered

"hello, it's Tyler"
