"The caring can be unkind." -Harry
Isabella's POV:
Time has seemed to pass by incredibly fast since we left England. It's been a week since we took off, yet we are still no where near getting to this island where Harry wants us to be. He's a little distant still, but I know why.
I just hope that he doesn't let this cripple him.
Louis and Shayla have gotten closer and it's almost obvious that they are, which makes me smile. I really want to ask her about Louis but I haven't gotten the chance to speak to her alone since we started.
It was nearly nightfall now, the waves extremely calm as the sun set on the waters, the colors flickering off the reflection of the water as we drifted through the sea. Harry was talking to Niall about something, both of them looking over a map and discussing something I couldn't pick up on. I leaned against the rails with a small sigh, seeing everyone begin to settle down for the evening.
The wind was a little chilly and the night was going to prove to be colder than usual. Good thing we had blankets to cover up with.
Harry walked over to me and I smiled softly, seeing him return it before gently running a hand through my hair, pushing it out of my face.
"You never change, do you? Always by the railing." he murmurs and I giggle, nodding my head. "This is something I'll never get tired of looking at. Everywhere we go, it seems different. A different place, a different view." I say smiling and he nods, taking my hand in his.
"You know, before we got married in the castle, I was going to see if we'd get married at sunset on the waters. I knew it was your favorite view." he says and I stare at him lovingly, my heart swelling at his generosity.
"Thank you Harry. I'm just glad we're married." I whisper, getting on my tiptoes and planting a kiss on his lips, going back down to see him smiling. "Mrs. Styles. I could get used to saying that." he says and I giggle.
"Just call me Bella." I say winking and he laughs, the sound making me smile as I thought of it. He hasn't laughed a lot since what happened, and I feel as if it's something he needs.
"Thank you." he says quietly and I raise an eyebrow at him, confused to why I was being thanked. "Huh?" I ask and he looks at me with a sad smile. "You've really kept me grounded Bella. Kept me sane through this whole thing and...you didn't let me break." he says and my shoulders sag before I wrap my arms around him, resting my head on his chest.
"Harry I'm never going to let you break. You're stronger than that. And I hate it whenever you're sad, or even mad. I hate it so much, and if I could do anything to make you happy I would. And if what I do works then I'm so glad." I whisper and he squeezes me tightly, his arms holding me close.
"I love you so much Bella." he says and I smile into his shirt. "I love you too Harry. I always will." I say surely and he backs away, looking down at me with a smile. "I will too." he says and I just smile, not knowing what else to say.
"I think I'm going to retire a little early tonight, I'm exhausted. We should reach the island in a few days or so and nothing has got in our way so far, thankfully. I'm just going to use this as my chance to rest." he says and I nod, kissing his cheek before giving him a warm smile.
"Goodnight Harry." I say and he returns the farewell, giving me a kiss before leaving me, saying something to his men before he opened up the door to our quarters and disappeared inside, the door closing behind him.
I let out a sigh, looking out at the sea again, the sun almost completely out of sight, the moon rising in the sky as night began to truly set in.
I walked out on deck for a little while, helping different crew members get things set up for the morning before they went to bed. I went upstairs to see if everything was clear up there and to see if there was anything that needed to be done. I bid goodnight to Louis, Liam, Niall, and Zayn after that before I got ready to go into my quarters with Harry.
