You guys aren't going to be very happy with me...but I hope you enjoy the chapter anyways!
Isabella's POV:
Harry had gotten quiet, stopping his crying and leaning back away from me. His eyes were downcast and he wouldn't look me in the eye. The silence in the cave was suffocating me and I couldn't stand it anymore.
"Harry." I whisper but he shakes his head at me. "Don't." he says and I shrink back, staying quiet as he gathered up his thoughts. My heart was still aching as I looked at him, but I knew there wasn't anything I could do for him right now.
"We need to leave." He says in a low voice and I wipe my eyes, staring at him cautiously. "Leave?" I ask and he numbly nods. "We have to show the Vitriol's crew that their Captain is dead, right?" He asks with an edge and I swallow hard.
I watch as he stands up, his back to me as he walks to his father's body. He pauses, hovering over it as he stares down at his dad, and my heart begins to ache even more. Slowly I get to my feet, seeing Harry grab his father and throw him over his shoulder, turning to me with a cold gaze.
"Let's go." he says quietly and I nod, not wanting to say anything to him. I follow him as we start to exit the cave, but as we get closer to the mouth of the cave, the noise level continually grew louder and much more vicious than before.
My eyebrows furrowed down in worry as I remembered the explosion that went off when I was talking to Harry's father. I hadn't thought of it at the time, but what exactly was happening out there?
Harry seemed to have the same look of worry on his face and we both began to run, coming up to the mouth of the cave where screaming, shouting, bombs going off and roaring waves made everything almost deafening.
To make it worse, clouds had rolled in and it was dark on the island now, the sun hidden from sight. There were fires on the beach and smoke rising from the sand from where cannonballs had hit. There were a clash of bodies on the shore, and I couldn't tell which fighters were ours and which were the Vitriol's.
What horrified me most was the number of bodies strewn across the shore...dead.
"No..." I whisper, my eyes wide as the screams and shouts continue, a clap of thunder sounding in the sky, making me jump slightly because of the loudness of it, a flash of lightning lighting up the sky. "How are we supposed to get them to stop?" Harry asks, his voice sounding panicked, his eyes wide and terrified as he stared down at the scene.
"I...I don't know." I murmur, seeing Harry begin to frantically make his way down the cliff side, my eyes widening as he began to stumble. "Harry be careful!" I scream, running after him and trying to stay on the edge of the cliff, not falling off as I followed him.
He slipped on one of the rocks, slipping down about ten feet before he got a hold on another rock. My heart was hammering in my chest as I slowly went after him, not liking the way he was so frantic. He was going to end up killing himself if he kept this up.
"Harry slow down!" I yell and he gives me a glare. "I'm not stopping until I make sure no one else I love is dead!" he shouts and I stare at him in shock, seeing him continue down the cliff until he reached the bottom, still clutching his father's body in his arm.
Harry started to run across the sand and I shook my head, coming out of my trance as I finished going down the cliff, making it to the ground and sprinting after him.
"HEY!" he shouts towards the fighting people, continuing to shout until they started to listen, looking over at him as murmurs of shock rippled through the crowd. Harry held his father above his head as I caught up to him, everyone staring at him in shock.
