Kiana Diggory

It was now Saturday morning, Harry, the Quidditch team, and I were eating breakfast in the Great Hall before the big game.

"Good morning Kiana," Niall greeted as he walked by.

I sent him a smile and a brief wave before returning back to my toast.

"Are you sure your cleared to play," Fred asked worriedly.

"Madam Pomfrey cleared me yes," I chuckled.

"Not madam Pomfrey, I meant by your brother," Fred said.

My smile dropped.

"Well, I'm still going to play, I'm capable of handling myself plus I really want to knock Malfoy off his stinking broom," I hissed.

The team chuckled and nodded.

"It's 10:30 let's go," Oliver said stuffing his toast into his mouth.

Together we stood up and grabbed our brooms. We walked down to the Quidditch Pitch and entered our changing rooms. It was a bit cloudy outside with a hint of thunder in the air. Before we stepped inside our changing room Ron, Jake and Hermione flagged us down.

"Good luck today," Hermione smiled.

I pulled her aside.

"Keep Cedric calm okay, he doesn't know I'm playing," I asked.

Hermione chuckled and nodded.

We now wore our scarlet Gryffindor robes, the team sat down as Oliver gave us his normal pre-match pep talk.

"Slytherin has better brooms than us," he began.

I frowned.

"Don't have to remind us," I whispered to myself.

"No point in denying it. But we've got better people on our brooms. We've trained harder than they have, we've been flying in all weathers," Oliver said.

"True," George muttered. "I haven't been properly dry since August."

"Okay.. and we're going to make them rue the day that let that little bit of slime, Malfoy, buy his way onto their team," Oliver finished.

Oliver turned to Harry and I, chest heaving with emotion.

"It'll be down to you two, to show them that Seeker has to have something more than a rich a father, and that a Chaser has more than a family who doesn't care. Harry, get to that Snitch before Malfoy or die trying. Kiana, score as much as you can keeping us ahead of Slytherin. Because we've got to win today, we've got to," Oliver said.

"So no pressure you two," Fred said winking at us.

I stood up confidently.

"Listen up everyone. I make the formations and calls. The only way we win is if we work together," I said sternly.

Everyone stood up with excitement.
