Into the Forest

"I can't believe they removed Dumbledore!" I said frustrated. "With him gone imagine the attacks to come!"

"We know," Harry sighed.

"Well. What did Hagrid say?" I asked.

"If we wanted to find out some stuff we had to follow the spiders," Ron said hesitantly.

"So that's what we need to do... follow the... spiders.." I asked. The three boys nodded. "Okay. I'm in."

"But you're afraid of them.." Harry frowned.

"This is for Hermione and Jace.. the more we find out the more we can stop these attacks." I said.

   I hated having to be in packs now. I hated the teachers watching us all the time. We were now in Potions.

"I always thought Father might be the one who got rid of Dumbledore," Malfoy said. "I told you he thinks Dumbledore's the worst behavior the school's ever had. Maybe we'll get a decent headmaster now. Someone who won't want the Chamber of Secrets closed. McGonagall won't last long she's only filling in..."

"How about you shut your mouth Malfoy," I hissed. "Before I drag you into the Forbidden Forest and let the Centaurs have you."

"Sir," Malfoy said loudly. "Sir, why don't you apply for the headmaster's job?"

"Now, now, Malfoy. Professor Dumbledore has only been suspended by the governors. I daresay he'll be back with us soon enough." Snape said hiding a faint smile.

"Yeah, right," Malfoy smirked. "I expect you'd have Father's vote, sir, if you wanted to apply for the job — I'll tell Father you're the best teacher here, sir —"

   I placed a Silencing Charm over my very irritating cousin. Snape glared at me and I removed the charm.

"I'm quite surprised the Mudbloods haven't all packed their bags by now," Malfoy said. "Bet you five Galleons the next one dies. Pity it wasn't Granger —"

   I jumped off my stool only to be held back by Harry.

"Let me at him, I don't need my wand, I'm going to kill him," I growled as my three best friends now held me back.

"Hurry up, I've got to take you all to Herbology," Snape barked.

   Harry and the boys had a firm grip on me as I tried to attack my cousin. The three let me go as soon as we got out of the castle.

"I'll go get the stuff we need. You just calm down," Harry sighed as I sat on my stool.

   I nodded my head and looked down.

"You okay," Jake asked as he sat across from me.

"How did that not make you mad, the way he was talking about people who were Muggle Born. The way he said he wished Hermione would have died." I hissed.

"Trust me. I wanted to kill him but Hermione wouldn't want one of us expelled for fighting." Jake chuckled.

"Well, what do I have to lose really, I'm off the Quidditch team." I hissed.

   Someone smacked the back of my head and I turned around to see Harry.

"What was that for," I hissed.

   Harry placed his mouth besides my ear.

"Spiders," he whispered.

   I jumped up from my seat and ran out of the room.
