"Homework compose a poem about my defeat of the Wagga Wagga Werewolf! Signed copies of Magical Me to the author of the best one!" Gilderoy smiled.

If I could get out of one class it'd be this one. I really, really disliked Gilderoy, he was nothing but a fake. The class began to leave besides me and my four best friends.

"Ready," Harry muttered.

Ready for what?

"What are we doing," I asked.

"We need a book from the restricted section and we need a teacher to sign a paper," Ron explained.

"You know I can just go and get it," I chuckled.

The four immediately smiled.

"Well, this is just in case madam Pince doesn't allow it this time," Jake said.

I nodded. Together we approached Lockhart's desk, a piece of paper clutched tightly in her hand.

"I'll wait outside. I'm kind of tired of his voice," I whispered to Jake. Jake followed me into the hall as we wait for our friends to get permission.

"Are you doing okay," Jake asked.

"I'm fine thanks to your brother," I said. "I'll have to thank him properly."

"He considers you a great friend. He was happy to help you," Jake said.

I pull him in for a hug.

"You're a great friend as well Jake. Please don't beat yourself up over me getting hurt," I said.

Hermione has told me about Jake really taking this to the heart for not following me to the Hospital wing. Says he should've tried harder.

"No one knew that was going to happen. I'm just happy you're here for me when I need it. You help me heal mentally and for that I appreciate you," I said.

"We're not interrupting anything are we?"

Jake and I break apart from the hug and notice our friends had joined us.

"Not at all. Just letting Jake know I appreciate his friendship," I said. "We have what we need?"

"Yes let's head to the library," Hermione said.

"Let's get this all figured out," I said.

"I don't believe it, he didn't even look at the book we even wanted," Ron chuckled.

"That's because he's a brainless git," Jake chortled. I nodded in agreement. "But who cares, we've got what we needed –"

"He is not a brainless git," Hermione said shrilly before running towards the Library.

"Just because he said you were the best student of the year," Jake muttered.

We entered the quiet library and I saw Madam Pince. I approached the front desk and smiled widely.

"Hello Madam Pince, how do you do," I asked politely.

She smiled.

"Great, are you feeling better after," she asked.

I know what she meant.

"Yes, madam Pomfrey and Josh saved my life. Thank you for being so concerned," I smiled and she nodded.

Hermione cleared her throat and Madam Pince went back to being mean.

"Moste Potente Potions?" she asked growing curious.

She tried taking the note from Hermione but Hermione wouldn't let go.

"I was wondering if I could keep it," Hermione asked.

I chuckled. I took the note from Hermione's hands and politely handed it to Madam Pince.

"Don't worry Hermione we can get you another autograph," I snickered.

Hermione rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. Madam Pince held the note up to the light. She then stalked away between the lofty shelves and returned seven minutes later with a large and moldy-looking book. Hermione placed the book in her bag and left, the boys following after.

"See you later Madam Pince," I chuckled and followed after the boys.

"Where are we going," I whispered.

"Moaning Myrtle's bathroom," Harry whispered.

I really didn't want to go back there. Harry must have noticed my sudden fear. He held my hand tightly and pulled me along. We made our way up to the second floor and we stopped before I could reach the wall.

"You don't have to do this," Harry whispered.

"What," I asked.

"You don't have to help us, you're afraid, we get it," Jake said.

I shook my head.

"It's just," I began.

I couldn't tell them.

"Nothing. It's nothing, come on let's go," I said hurriedly. "I want this all to end."

Hermione and I entered the bathroom first. The boys followed briefly after. They sat on the dry floor and Hermione opened the book. She flipped through the pages while I walked around the taps. I noticed a few blood spots lead to one tap and then disappear. That's odd.

"Here it is," Hermione said excitedly.

I returned back to the group.

"This is the most complicated potion I've ever seen, Kiana. Maybe you can brew it," Hermione said.

I nodded.

"Hand me the book," I instructed.

Hermione placed the book in my hands. I ran my finger down the list of ingredients.

"Lacewing flies, leeches, fluxweed, and knotgrass," I read. Pretty easy ingredients to get. "These will be pretty easy to get they're in the student store cupboard, we can help ourselves."

"Powdered horn of a bicorn, shredded skin of a boomslang and a bit of who we want to change into, this will be the tricky ingredients to get." I sighed.

"Excuse me! What d'you mean a bit of whoever we're changing into? I'm not drinking anything to do with Crabbe in it," Ron hissed.

I rolled my eyes.

"We won't have to worry about that now, those are the last ingredients to add," I sighed.

"D'you guys realize how much we have to steal, Hermione, Kiana? I don't think this is a good idea," Harry muttered.

Hermione snatched the book out of my hands and slammed it shut.

"Well, if you three are going to chicken out, fine," Hermione hissed. "I don't want to break rules, you know. I think threatening Muggle-Borns is far worse than brewing up a difficult potion. But if you don't want to find out if it's Malfoy, I'll go straight to Madam Pince now and hand the book back in —"

"I never thought I'd see the day you'd be want to break rules," Jake grinned. "All right, we'll do it."

"Shut up," Hermione chuckled.

"How long will it take," Harry asked.

Hermione smiled and opened the book. She muttered a few words until she looked up.

"It would possibly take a month," Hermione said.

"A month," Ron said.

"Malfoy could have attacked half the Muggle-borns in the school by then! But it's the best plan we've got," Jake said.

Hermione stood up and exited the bathroom to go to Cedric I assume.

"Can't one of you two knock Malfoy off his broom," Ron groaned.

"That can be arranged," I snickered.
