Harry

"Harry," Cedric said. "Say something. Say something in Parseltongue."

"But," I began.

"You have to try. For Kiana," Cedric said.

I nodded.

"Open up," I said.

"That was in English," Ron sighed.

"Try harder," Jake said.

I nodded. I tried again and the tap glowed a brilliant white and spun around. The sink began to move and left a large pipe enough for a man to slide in.

"I'm going down there," I said.

"Me too," Cedric said, "for my sister."

"Count us in," Jake and Ron said in unison.

There was a pause.

"Well, you hardly seem to need me, I'll just," Lockhart said.

The four of us lifted our wands at Lockhart.

"Oh no – You can go first, Professor," Cedric growled.

White-faced and wandless, Lockhart approached the opening.

"Boys," Lockhart said. "Boys, what good will it do?"

Cedric shoved him into the clearing. Cedric followed behind him as I followed Cedric. I landed on the wet ground.

"We must be miles under the school," Cedric whispered.

"Lumos,"

His wand lit up.

"Under the lake, probably," Jake whispered.

Together we lit our wands.

"Come on," I said.

The tunnel was so dark.

"Remember," I said. "Any sign of movement, close your eyes right away..."

The tunnel was as quiet as a grave. Crunch. I lowered my wand down and saw animal bones laying on the ground.

"Harry— somethings up there," Cedric whispered.

We stood in our spot. Something huge and curved lied right across the tunnel.

"Maybe it's asleep," I said.

It was the skin of a huge snake.

"Blimey," Ron said weakly.

Gilderoy had just fainted.

"Get up," Jake and Ron hissed pointing their wands at Gilderoy.

Lockhart got to his feet — then dived at Ron, knocking him to the ground.

"The adventure ends here boys. I shall take a bit of this skin back up to the school, tell them I was too late to save the girl, and that you four tragically lost your minds at the sight of her mangled body — say good-bye to your memories," Lockhart hissed.

He raised Ron's wand high over his head and yelled ,"obliviate." The wand exploded with the force of a small bomb. I took cover as the rocks tumbled down. I was now standing alone.

"Guys," I shouted. "Are you guys okay?"

"We're here," Cedric yelled. "We're okay. The idiots not. Got blasted by the wand."

"What now," Ron said. "We can't get through – it'll take ages..."

Kiana had already been in the Chamber for hours. I needed to save her with or without the guys.
