Cedric Diggory

Her words hit me hard. I felt my heart pound with guilt. I made her feel this way. I pushed her into this. I pushed her away.

"Maybe if you had more time for your little sister I wouldn't have confided in that book. Maybe if you didn't push me to the side so much I would never had said that. Gosh, how can you even call yourself my brother if all you do is want to ditch me you didn't even care when you left me with the Malfoy's. All the harsh things I'd hear the way they treated their elf of course I was going to pick up a few things then that bloody book. It put thoughts in my head. YOU DID NOT CARE. YOU DID NOT NOTICE. YOU JUST LET IT HAPPEN I am so ashamed to be your sister right now. Because you care about other people and when it comes to me YOU you can't even stand up for me. I wanted you to fight for me even if I pushed you away and I hate you. Just leave me alone Cedric." She sniffled.

She hates me.

I hate you.

I hate you.

Her words rang through my head.

"Mate," Lucas called.

I hate you.

He placed a hand on my shoulder and caught me in his arms. He pulled me to the couch and had me sit on the couch.

"She didn't mean it she was just angry," Lucas said.

I didn't say anything. I was in shock. What she said felt real.

"I'll go make us some tea," Lucas sighed.

Lucas rushed towards the kitchen and I can hear his faint conversation.

"I need I need you guys here," Lucas whispers. "Please."

I heard the sink go off, followed by the stove then the whistle of the pot. Lucas exited the kitchen with a tray of tea in his hands. The front door swung open revealing my other two best friends.

I hate you.

I felt a warm tear escape from my eyes and I didn't bother to wipe them away. I deserve her hate.

"I sent her here to apologize, what happened," Jace asked.

I looked into his eyes and more tears fell.

"Shit happened Cedric this isn't your fault," Lucas said.

I stiffened.

"It is my fault if I paid more attention if I was there for her more if I if I didn't happily send her to the Malfoy's she would not hate me," I cried out. "If I just listened to her and didn't treat her like she was unimportant."

"Cedric," Jace sighs.

"Have I been that distant with her," I asked.

The three looked at each other then to the ground. She was right. They noticed it but I didn't.

"How could I have been so stupid," I yelled. "My own sister I I didn't even notice."

I angrily punched the glass table besides me. The pain I felt in my fist didn't mask the pain I felt in my heart.

"Cedric please," Lucas said.

Lucas pulled me to the kitchen and washed the blood from my fist. The water hitting me stung. Like her words. Jace pulled the glass from my fists. Ernie cleaned the mess off the floor.

"No offense mate, but that was your Mum's favorite coffee table. Hey, I found adoption papers here," Ernie said.

Adoption papers?

"Did you know you and Kay are adopted. Amos and Diana are your aunt and uncle it doesn't say who your real parents are though," Ernie said.

Why would they hide that? Then it hit me. Kiana was telling the truth, we really are adopted.

"Is she my real sister," I asked.

"Yes. Blood and all did you know you have a twin brother and another sister," Ernie asked.

"What?" I asked in disbelief.

"Says it all here in the paper," Ernie said. "Says you've all been separated and your memories had been Obliviated."

I clench my fists in anger. How could they not tell me.

"Kiana never mentioned any other siblings," I snapped.

"It's recent actually they were discovered this summer," Ernie stuttered. "Where are your aunt and uncle?"

"They're supposed to be on a business trip," I said.

"How odd," Jace said.
