Arabella's POV

"MOM WHERE ARE THE STAMPS!?" I yelled from upstairs.

"THERE IN MY ROOM ON THE NIGHTSTAND!" she yelled back.

I walked into my moms room and grabbed two stamps that were on the little black nightstand next to her bed.

"What are you doing?" Mackenzie startled me.

"I'm sending in my applications" I firmly smiled.

"Can you pass me two stamps also" she extended her hand.

"Are you sure you want to apply to UPENN? That's like on the other end of the U. S." I hesitated in giving her the stamps.

"Are you sure you want to apply to NYU? That's like also on the other end of the United States" she sarcastically said.

"In my defense, none of the schools around here seem fun except UCLA which is in Cali" I finally handed her the stamps.

"At least we will both be taking chances" she smirked and walked out the room.

The whole college thing lately had been getting to all of us. It seemed as if all of us including Sammy, Mackenzie, Johnson, Jack and I had been gearing in different paths. Well Mackenzie and I not so much but Sammy and Jack yes. Jack applied to Arizona State which is a 7 hour straight drive from UCLA if I make it in and a 25 hour straight drive from NYU. Same with Sammy and Mackenzie. Sammy who was planning on going to Nebraska State would be a 22 hour drive from UCLA and also a 18 hour drive from UPENN. It seems so bizarre now that we are all going to college next year.

I almost hesitated putting the stamps on my letters. I had two reasons, one being Jack and the other the money to pay for all of this. Mackenzie and I walked out of our rooms at the same time that morning to walk out to the mailbox. I grabbed her hand as we both slipped our envelopes in.

"I'm really nervous" she said as she closed the mailbox door.

"Me too" I squeezed her hand tighter.

"I guess we should get to school though"

Kenzie and I parted ways to school like we did most mornings. Jack didn't seem enthusiastic to be in school either. We had all planned on sending our letters in on the same day hoping we would get our results around the same time.

"I really hate talking about it" Sammy said as the four of us stood in a circle outside my first period class.

"Then let's meet up for lunch and we can talk about it" I suggested. It was true though that the whole college thing was dwelling on us.

"I will see you at lunch" Jack kissed my forehead and left. I walked into class and slumped my body down in my chair.

All throughout the first few periods I was so dazed and lost that it didn't even make sense as to why I was in school.

"Am I the only one who is tired" Jack chuckled as we all walked to the parking lot.

"It's that stupid English class" Sammy rolled his eyes. I looked over at him and he had his arm wrapped around Mackenzie. Even though I was half asleep didn't mean I forgot about him and Hannah but I dropped it for now.

Jack and I drove in jacks car and Sammy and Kenzie went in Sammy's car to the pizzeria.

Kenzie and I sat in the booth we always sat in while Sammy and Jack got us our food.

"Have you and Sammy spoken about the college issue?" I leaned my head on my hand.

"Not really"

"Yeah neither have Jack and I"

We kept our mouths quiet when Jack and Sammy walked back to the table.

"Before we start eating can we just make a pact. Let's agree that no matter how far we are apart, we won't forget about each other" I said once Sammy and Jack sat down.

Sammy looked at Mackenzie and they agreed and then I looked at Jack and he nodded his head.

"Good, now let's eat" Jack grabbed the plate with the pizza in front of him.
