Chapter 23

Saturday
Sammys POV

I gently opened my eyes and took in everything around me. I could hear the sounds of music downstairs but all I could pay attention to was the perfect human being laying on me. Mackenzies head was rested on my chest and her hair was draped on my body.

I just watched her as she silently dreamed in her head. Soon her brown eyes fluttered open.

"Morning" I whispered and kissed her temple. She stretched out her arms and smiled.

"Good morning" she said and then yawned into her hand. She rested her head back onto my chest.

"How did you sleep?" I ran my fingers through her hair.

"I slept perfectly considering I fell asleep on you" she giggled.

Mackenzie and I both looked at the door when we heard footsteps outside in the hall.

"Knock knock" Nates voice said from the other end of the door.

"Come in!" I yelled and Mackenzie dug her face into my chest and closed her eyes. A second after, Nate popped his head in.

"My shitty pancakes are ready" he smirked and then walked out. Mackenzie the whole time had dug her way under my arm completely.

"Are you cold?" I asked and grabbed the blanket from underneath me. I wrapped her in it and tugged her closer. Mackenzie kept wrapping her little feet into mine which made me chuckle.

I managed to squeeze out from the blanket and grab my sweatshirt on the chair. When I handed it to her she quickly put it on and slipped on her sweats on top of the shorts she had fallen asleep in.

"Better?" I wrapped my arm around her waist as we walked out the room. She nodded her head and we walked off downstairs. From the stairs I could hear little whispers.

"There they are" Arabella threw her hands up in the air.

"Missed me" I walked around to grab a plate.

"Fuck yeah" she sarcastically said back.

"Where are Johnson and G?" Mackenzie asked after shoving a piece of a pancake in her mouth.

"They have Magcon today and tomorrow" Arabella's facial expression minimized.

"That sucks" Mac again fit a piece of food in her mouth.

Nate and Arabella continued on talking about some stuff with the Magcon tour while I tried to get Mackenzie to a more private area.

"So I was thinking we go ice skating today" I whispered in her ear once I managed to get her out of the kitchen. Her eyes widened and her jaw dropped but I didn't know what she meant by that.

"Sammy, I'm the clumsiest person on this planet. I can't even walk properly on two feet without falling, what makes you think I can ice skate" she said and I laughed unintentionally.

"Babe come on" I pouted.

"Sammy no!" she crossed her arms.
