"Let me help." Sophie cried, standing in the boat as Jim and Silver pulled the ropes to bring the longboat into the hold, so far both males refused her offers to help and she was getting incredibly frustrated. Jim laughed as he pulled her in front of him and held her hands so she could pull on the rope. Jim helped as well but held Sophie's waist to balance her, ignoring Morph who was flying around his head making kissing noises. Oblivious to the creature, Sophie giggled at the sigh Silver gave as she continued to pull, with the seven weeks of hard work – the young student had gained more muscle. Jim felt some heat arise to his cheeks, the two had barely made physical contact – barely holding hands but now, he wanted nothing more than to embrace the blonde. An idea came to him, albeit it was a playful one and it may not work in the favourable way – he was still going to go for it.

Quickly he wrapped his arms around Sophie's waist, she yelped in surprise and more when Jim slid down to Silver's side. The cyborg laughed at the teenagers, knowing they both had red cheeks – not a stupid being, Silver knew there was deeper feelings between Jim and Sophie – often frequently teasing the former. "You having a little trouble there?" Jim asked with a laugh, Silver laughed in response as he used his body to shove Jim and Sophie away from him, "Oh, get away from me." The cyborg playfully replied, "Too much for you, Silver?" Sophie grinned, the cyborg rolled his eyes at the girl but smiled nonetheless. "Oh, Jimbo." He sighed as he tied a sailor's knot to hold the longboat in place, "If I could manoeuvre a skiff like that when I was your age, they'd be bowing in the streets when I walked by today." With that, the cyborg fell into a seat with an 'oof' with Morph copying him exactly making Sophie laugh a little, "Bowing in the streets!" Morph repeated. "Here, you relax. I got this." Jim said to Sophie, gently pushing the girl down by the shoulder into a seat and grabbing the rope from her."I don't know. They weren't exactly singing my praises when I left home." He spoke again, answering Silver. Sophie brought knees up to her chest, wondering what Jim was like at home – maybe there was a reason that Mr Arrow had rarely left her alone with Jim, maybe he was a troublemaker.

The boat moved again with Jim plopping himself down sitting on the bench beside Sophie, his blue eyes glanced at her a few times while he got his breath back. His plan was to make a move that night, Silver had given them both night watch duties – though Jim did find it suspicious that Silver decided this right after teasing him that morning. With a confident smile, Jim leant forward, loosely hugging his knees, "But I'm gonna change all that." He stated simply, with the thought of finding treasure and knowing that Sophie was single – Jim thought life was going good for him, everything was falling into place. The blonde teenager raised an eyebrow as she lay her head on her knees sideways so she could still look at Jim curiously. "Are you now? How so?" Silver asked curiously, though he did smirk at the blonde – she must be in Jim's plan somewhere. The brunette eye rolled off the smirk – not ashamed to have his feelings known for Sophie. "Uh..." He started in reply, nearly forgetting to keep their destination a secret, he shuffled back as he moved his arms to behind his head. "I got some plans. Gonna make people see me a little different." He finished with a smile, Sophie sighed which caught the cyborg's attention."What about you, lass?" He asked, he wasn't as attached to his cabin girl but he still cared for her, the problem was that she didn't open up at all. "I plan to finish up school when I'm eighteen then work with kids before I go to university." She smiled brightly, the cyborg felt a stinging pang of guilt – the mutiny would probably take these two young lives. "Oh... sometimes, plans go astray." He spoke solemnly, a subtle warning. However he was surprised, also worried, when Jim's voice never fazed from its confident and happy tone, "Not this time." He stated simply, Sophie smiled at her friend before distracting herself with her boot buckles.

Silver hummed in response, never in his entire pirating days did he ever feel guilt for insinuating a mutiny but now – two young cabin kids with the galaxy at their feet were making him re-think his plans. His thoughts were interrupted when he felt his mechanical leg loosen uncomfortably, with a groan he lifted his leg onto the bench, attempting to tighten the bolt with his hand. Sophie stopped fiddling around with her boots and sadly watched Silver, never good with mechanics so she felt helpless and subconsciously moved closer to Jim who looked just as worried for Silver. "Oh, thank you Morphy." Silver smiled appreciatively to his form changing companion who had changed into a spanner to help his master, biting her lip – the blonde looked away, not wanting to watch anymore. "So, uh... how'd that happen anyway?" Jim asked, holding his left arm with his right hand. Silver glared a little, then realised that Jim was only asking as a caring friend and sighed miserably, "You give up a few things, chasing a dream." He replied simply, not wanting to re-tell the story of how he lost his right eye, arm and leg so many years ago. Sophie placed a hand on Jim's shoulder, without thinking he grasped her hand and gave it a squeeze as his eyes saddened, he needed comfort. "Was it worth it?" Jim asked, hoping that it would be a positive answer. Regaining his composure, seeing the two teenagers holding hands – it brightened his spirits as he laughed a little and moved to sit beside Jim, arm around the teenager. "I'm hoping it is, Jimbo. I most surely am." The three closed their eyes in relaxation, it only lasting for a few moments before the ship was violently rocked to the side, whimpering in fright – a flood of memories rushing through the blonde's mind as she got her balance back.

Worriedly, Jim held Sophie close to him – having never let go of her hand. Were they being attacked? Had something went wrong? "Shh, it's ok. I won't let anything or anyone hurt you." He said quietly in her ear, embracing the teenager for the first time. Sophie whimpered a response as she clung to Jim's shirt, "Come on you two!" Silver called ushering the pair on. Jim nodded and guided a shaking Sophie out of the boat, wondering what had petrified her so much. "I'm not going to let you go." Jim said seriously, turning at the base of the stairs, her blue eyes bore into his – and for once Jim felt a surge of protectiveness for the girl. "T-thank you." Sophie stuttered in response, worriedly Jim squeezed her hand, "I swear, nothing is gonna happen to you."
