Silver clutched Jim's shoulder to stop him entering the portal, making himself go first. Instead of protesting, Jim reached back and grabbed Sophie's hand bringing her with him into the portal."Wow!" She breathed, it was one thing to read about the treasure that Flint had looted but seeing it was something else entirely. "The loot of a thousand worlds..." Silver spoke in awe, Sophie and Jim glanced at one another, smiles of disbelief on their faces. Jim glanced down at her lips quickly, wanting to kiss her out of sheer joy but it wasn't a good idea, he had to get her and B.E.N out of here. "This is all seeming very familiar... I can't remember why." B.E.N spoke to himself, deep in thought, Jim's eyes wandered from Silver to an abandoned boat, an escape., grabbing Sophie's hand and giving her a gentle tug he began to move towards the boat, "B.E.N come on. We're getting out of here, and we're not leaving empty-handed." He spoke quietly, the robot followed with a stumble behind the teenagers with Morph flying around their heads. "But- bu, Jimmy! Jimmy!" B.E.N protested, Sophie clamped a hand over his mouth with worried eyes – if the pirates saw them then they would be dead meat. The brunette grunted as he jumped onto the ship and climbed over the edge, leaning over to grab Sophie's hands which she gratefully took and climbed onto the ship as well. "We're getting out of here then we are getting the Captain and Doc." He said quietly, kissing her cheek quickly before helping B.E.N, "Do you know what's strange? I can't tell you how frustrating this is, Jimmy... 'cause there's something just- it's nagging at the back of my mind." B.E.N rambled before shouting in fright falling over, though Sophie was already frozen to the spot, staring at the skeleton. "Captain Flint?" Both teenagers gasped, hardly believing what they were seeing. "In the flesh!" B.E.N announced, Sophie could feel herself turning green – utterly disgusted by the idea of spending any length of time with a dead body. "Well, s-sort of, except for skin, organs... or anything that-that-that resembles flesh... that's not there." B.E.N shakily recovered, though it didn't help Sophie's nausea only making it worse, she wrapped her arms around her stomach trying to stop it. "And yet it's so odd, you know?" B.E.N rambled again as Jim went closer to Flint – disgusted himself but he could hardly believe that he was this close to the most fearsome pirate to ever roam the galaxy.
The blonde listened to B.E.N, her full attention him – rather that than looking at a dead body. The robot was scratching at his metal head as he rambled to himself, she felt sorry for him – remembering how her grandfather was becoming more forgetful as he got older. "I remember there was something horrible Flint didn't want anyone else to know but- just can't remember what it was..." Sophie winced a little, this did not sound good, at all. "Oh, a mind is a terrible thing to lose!" B.E.N sobbed, the blonde awkwardly patted his back but frowned at Jim who broke Flint's skeletal hand and turned to B.E.N with a smile on his face, "B.E.N, I think I just found your mind, hold still!" He called before grabbing the robot's head from behind,"Ah! Jimmy, your hands are very, very cold!" B.E.N whined, Sophie raised an eyebrow – one for wondering what was going on and how a robot could feel temperatures. The loose wires in B.E.N's head attached themselves to the missing piece, fitting perfectly to his head, the robot whirled around his greene yes now replaced with a light blue. "Whoa! Hello. You know, uh, Jimmy, I was just thinking... I was just think- It's all flooding back! All my memories! Right up until Flint pulled my memory circuits... so I could never tell anybody about his booby trap!" B.E.N rambled before shouting obnoxiously, a loud crash sounded making Sophie let out a noise of fright, cradling Morph in her hands as he hid. "Speaking of which..." The robot spoke as the mechanism began to rumble violently with the pirates looking up at it in confusion.
The teenagers watched as explosions rang out, the place had been bombed and somehow with everyone being in here, they had been set off. Sophie swallowed the lump in her throat and clutched at Jim's hand, if she wasn't scared then she certainly was now! "Flint wanted to make sure that nobody could ever steal his treasure so he rigged this whole planet to blow higher than a Kalepsian kite!" B.E.N screamed, Sophie screamed when a large energy device fell and pierced the treasure laden sphere. The pirates began to yell in terror, as the teenagers watched as the treasure began to fall down the crevice. "Run, Jimmy! Run for your life!" B.E.N shouted, tugging on said teenager's arm but was pushed away, "You go back and help the Captain and Doc!" Jim commanded, diving underneath the circuit board, "Take Sophie with you, make sure she gets out safe!"He continued, popping out enough to look directly at the blonde – inwardly she was all for going but she didn't want to be twiddling her thumbs waiting for Jim, she could help! "If I'm not there in five minutes, leave without me." Jim finally spoke, Sophie clenched her fists – no way was she leaving him behind. B.E.N seemed to have the same idea as he tugged onto Jim's legs, "I am not leaving my buddy, Jimmy!" He exclaimed, Jim glared at the robot showing that wasn't ready to argue about it."Unless he looks at me like that... Bye, Jim!" B.E.N chirped before darting off, forgetting Sophie – not that she minded.
Stubbornly, the blonde stayed put – quickly pocketing a few jewels before messing with the topside of the circuit board, it was easy enough to bring back to life with the both of them working on it. "I told you to go ahead." Jim coldly spoke, a hand on Sophie's shoulder, a glare etched on his features. "Technically you told B.E.N to take me with him but he forgot so I stayed here to help!" Sophie argued quickly, "Come on! This isn't a time to argue!" He sighed through his nose, deeply looking at her in the eyes before helping to mess with the circuit board – he was livid with B.E.N and Sophie, he didn't want her to die here! However, he thought, turning his head a little to sideways glance at her – if they were going to die now then he wasn't going to let this chance go.
"Sophie." Jim spoke, she turned with a small frown before his lips captured hers. Her eyes widened before she kissed him back, tightly wrapping her arms around his neck as his tightly held her waist. Jim hadn't kissed anyone else like this, full of passion and love... He knew he loved Sophie from the moment he saw her but after getting to know her and kissing her for the first time, he knew he was right. He was in love with Sophie Pennant. His heart thudded wildly as he pulled away with reluctance making sure he kept his eyes on hers, "I love you." He spoke quietly, though she heard it loud and clear over all of the explosions and noise and gasped, but found herself smiling. "I love you too, James." She replied, using his name for the first time – for once he didn't care, he enjoyed how his name sounded with her voice – it gave him the shivers. Quickly he pressed his lips to hers again, wanting one more rush of fireworks before working on the ship's circuit board again. Unbeknownst to the teenagers, Silver had witnessed the whole scene, though Morph was covering his eyes and hiding in Sophie's hair.
