Sophie woke up late the next morning, for once she lay in her bed and looked up at the blank ceiling – remembering the night before, she had kissed Jim. Her cheeks reddened at the thought, even darker when she thought of kissing him again. "My answer..." She whispered to herself, blue eyes opened wide as she realised he was still waiting for her reply, jumping out of bed and slipping on the floor to her bum. "Ow..." She moaned, taking her time to stand up again before rushing to get dressed and brushed her teeth, then washed her face. Her heart was bubbling with excitement, something that she had never felt before. What would Amelia think? Arrow never seemed to fully like Jim but Amelia hadn't voiced her feelings on the teenager. The idea of Amelia disapproving her relationship made the blonde stop short of the door, unsure of what to do next.

"Are you awake, Miss Pennant?" Amelia asked, taking a deep breath the blonde composed herself before she opened her door to see Amelia sitting at her desk sipping on coffee. "Ah, this must have been the earliest you have been up." The feline smiled, Sophie nervously giggled as she moved her foot around. "May I ask you something?" The feline asked, clasping her hands together as she sat up straighter at her desk. "S-sure. Um, yes ma'am." Sophie squeaked out before speaking more clearly, Amelia shook her head with a small smile. "No need for formalities, I'm asking this question as your guardian." Amelia replied, amused at her goddaughter's behaviour. "What is your relationship with Mr Hawkins?" Sophie froze, should she tell? Amelia would know before Jim himself, that she was planning to see him. "Well... I-I, I want to see him... I like him more than a friend." Sophie stuttered, playing with her hands from nerves, surprisingly Amelia smiled approvingly. "I thought so, I know Mr Arrow was unsure but I give the two of you my blessing. However, warn him that if he steps out of line then there will be consequences." The blonde nodded at her words, a grin spreading out across her features and ran over to her guardian and hugged her tight. "I love you." She cried, it was returned from the feline as she placed a hand on the blonde's cheek. "I love you too, I need to let you grow up." She smiled ushering the cabin girl away out of the room, Sophie stumbled out – tripping over her own feet.

Not looking where she was going, the blonde slipped on the stairs and nearly fell over the edge of the ship if someone hadn't grabbed her. "Thanks..." She smiled, it dropped once she seen it was Scroop – holding the back of jacket with his claw."You ssshould be more careful. We don't you to fall too, misssss." He spoke, his voice hissing at her – he would've happily have let the blonde fall but there would be too many witnesses – such as Doctor Doppler, who was rushing down to Sophie to help. Scroop released Sophie, letting her stand on her own feet. Scroop scuttled off as Doppler reached her, brushing her down. "My goodness, I thought we would have lost you!" He fretted, "I'm fine, really. I've always been clumsy." The cabin girl shrugged, Doppler placed a hand on her shoulder with a smile, "Do you know what's wrong with Jim? He's been wandering about all morning and looking at the stateroom door." He asked, worried that he had let Sarah down. Sophie jumped away from Doppler, remembering why she was rushing earlier. "It's alright, doctor. I'll keep an eye on him." Sophie smiled bashfully before rushing off again, barely missing Mr Hands by ducking out of his way. "Jim!" She called, running up to him as he was scrubbing the deck towards the back of the ship.

"Jim!" Sophie's voice called, he stopped scrubbing and turned his head, his heart thudding more with the sound of her voice."Gonna fall! Gonna fall!" Morph chirped, seeing the danger Jim stumbled forward and caught Sophie before she could trip on the rope someone had left lying around on the deck. "Happy to see me?" He smirked, looking down at Sophie, who blushed immensely as she laughed nervously. "Sorry... Just realised you'd been waiting all morning for an answer and-" Sophie rambled, "And?" Jim asked, interrupting her in anticipation, his blue eyes searching hers. "Yes." She simply replied, "What?"Jim asked, confused for a second before he laughed breathlessly and hugged her close to him. "Oh Morphy! I can hear the weddin' bells already!" Silver smirked standing behind the two embracing teenagers. They both blushed as they broke away from their hug, the cyborg chuckling at them. "All fine and well to have a lass JImbo, though you have your chores! You too!"Silver spoke, pointing for Jim to continue his scrubbing and throwing Sophie a bucket and mop. "Get to it!" He ordered, weeks ago – Jim would've argued about being bossed around but he calmly accepted it though he was upset he hadn't been allowed to kiss Sophie again. "And I better not come up here and find the pair of ya distracting one another! Morph, keep an eye on these pups!" He marched off leaving Jim to chuckle a little, "What are you laughing at?" Sophie asked amused, stopping her mopping to raise an eyebrow. Jim smirked and stood up from his scrubbing and pulled her by the waist towards himself and kissed her on the mouth passionately. His thumbs rubbing her upper arms, careful not to hurt her, Sophie closed her eyes – feeling rather giddy from the surprise kiss. Jim smirked and pecked her lips before releasing her, returning to his scrubbing duties while Sophie stood shocked, having dropped the mop to the floor.

Morph didn't interrupt the pair, instead choosing to pester the blonde by flying around her head and shouting, "Mop!"constantly. She giggled out of embarrassment and began to swab the deck, unaware that Jim was smiling at her – for the first time he felt content, as if he could take on the galaxy and he was really close to achieving that as well. It didn't take long for the pair to scrub and swab the deck, much to Silver's surprise as he came up to hurry the two along and found the pair sitting on the stairs talking. "What am I going to do with the two of ya?" He asked, hands on his hips as he stood over them. "Let us have the day off?" Jim asked hopefully, "There'll be no days off Jimbo! You two can clean the galley, the crew have made a fine mess down there!" Silver shouted, not aggressively though, as if he were playing a game with the two teenagers. "Come on then, you might get a rest afterwards." Sophie grinned, tugging at Jim's hand as he groaned, becoming a heavy wait so she was tugging for nothing. She was now using both hands to pull at his but he wouldn't move, making Silver chuckle loudly before he slapped Jim's back forcing him to stand up. "Have you ate today lass?" Silver asked, raising an eyebrow at Sophie's paleness – something he recognised as a lack of food in her. Jim stopped being a dead weight, worry in his eyes, nearly leaving Sophie on the floor if Silver hadn't caught her. "Um... not yet-" Sophie sheepishly smiled, Silver rubbed his forehead with his non-mechanical arm. "Lass, you need to eat! Jimbo, look after your gal and get her somethin' to eat!" Silver lectured before turning his attention to Jim, who grabbed Sophie's hand and led her to the kitchen. There he made porridge with some purp fruit, "Trust me, you'll like it." He assured, seeing the strange look she was giving him.

Silver watched the pair with caring eyes, he knew there were all sorts of individuals across the galaxies that would search for a lifetime for what Jim and Sophie had together. The looks they would give one another directly and the ones that would be a loving look when the other wasn't watching was enough for Silver to conclude that the two would do anything for one another. Even though Sophie wasn't a daredevil herself and would probably never do the same stunts Jim had often talked, sometimes bragged, about on his solar surfer – she would listen intently and would marvel at his "death-defying" stunts. Jim, not a keen student, would sometimes help Sophie with her studies – Silver wished he had a camera for each confused, frustrated and even disgusted face Jim would pull when Sophie was reading and writing her letters or telling him stories to the places she had been. "Stop kissin' and start cleanin' you two!" Silver called, a laugh nearly escaping him – aware that the two were not kissing but were more than likely thinking about it. "We weren't-" Jim shouted annoyed and embarrassed until Silver couldn't help but laugh at Jim's expression.
