Sophie sighed as she stared at her reflection, over the last thirteen months a lot had changed in her life – how she looked had changed as well. She had grown a few inches and stood at five foot six and found she was developing curves, something that made her feel insecure about her weight. Even with Jim's constant reassurance that he loved her just the way she was, Sophie still felt inferior to the other girls at the Academy – who were quick to tease her about her adventure, mainly because she kept it to herself. With another sigh, she fixed the loose strands of her hair that fell onto her face and smoothed down her green emerald coloured dress. Having finally swallowing her dislike of the colour to wear her mother's dress to Jim's homecoming, the first time Sarah would see her son in five months. Sophie had sworn to keep quiet about when Jim would arrive which would be during the party, she just hoped that she would take the surprise well.

The Benbow Inn was quickly rebuilt with the treasure given by Silver, Jim telling Sophie stories of what it used to be like and what had happened to it. Sophie had used her treasure to pay for Jim's tuition and made plans to move out of the Doppler's home, she felt ready to really take charge of her own life and was very much looking forward to moving into her home when she finished school, with Jim moving in with her – something that upset Sarah as Jim and Sophie weren't engaged or married and feared something would happen, though Jim was quick to reassure her that they were sensible.

A few hours later, Sarah officially opened the inn and the party started though Sarah had fawned over Sophie in her dress as they spoke about the Academy. The two women in Jim's life had become very close with one another, often they'd be seen in one another's company sewing or cooking, Sophie even took it upon herself to help Sarah at the Benbow and became a favourite of the customers despite the blonde's clumsiness, though Jim had gotten annoyed with how much attention Sophie was receiving from other guys. Being a smart girl, she knew they were more interested in having her hanging on their arm rather than appreciating who she was, just like Jim – B.E.N hollering that the brunette 'worshipped the ground she walked on' which seemed to please Sarah though she didn't butt into Jim and Sophie's relationship unless she felt Jim was being unfair to the blonde.

The blonde accepted the slice of cake from B.E.N, which was being devoured by Morph which Sophie paid little mind to, she knew Jim was on his way and felt the butterflies erupt in her stomach at the thought of seeing him again – even though she had seen him yesterday. Her eyes drifted over to Delbert and Amelia, the canine had adopted her and treated her as one of his own when he and Amelia married, they were with their four biological children, three daughters and one boy. A smile crept onto Sophie's features as she watched her godmother cradle Robert in her arms, often she'd babysit the children and was glad they could come along to Jim's homecoming. Her dark blue eyes then drifted to Rose, the blonde, Fianna, the brunette and Bianca, the redhead all sleeping in their basket with Morph cooing over them.

The door suddenly opened, the music stopping with everyone gasping at the sight of the two robotic police officers, Sophie watched Sarah widen her eyes looking at them in horror before they stepped to the side revealing Jim in his Interstellar uniform, a large smile on his face as he looked directly at his mother, who looked back to see Sophie smiling widely before facing her son again as the inn erupted into cheers with the music playing again, Morph shot over to Jim, licking his cheek and turning into a medal to pin onto his uniform, Sophie's ears listened to the music that was being played, an unfamiliar a jig that Jim and Sarah danced to while Sophie clapped whilst laughing.

A pair of blue eyes came into her view, her heart fluttered at seeing Jim standing in front of her with a soft grin on his features. Before she could process what he was upto, he bowed quickly and dragged her out to dance, Sophie's face turned scarlet as she gaped at her boyfriend of thirteen months, he ignored her shocked look and continued to dance. Sophie didn't know the dance at all but let him lead and found herself enjoying it, laughing with Jim until the music stopped. He looked down at her for a few moments, eyes searching hers as he took in a few breaths and kissing her soft lips quickly, holding her close.

Her eyes sparkled as she looked into his, they spent a few minutes dancing and speaking to everyone before Jim stood at the window, clapping to the beat as he watched the party, Sophie smiled and pressed a kiss to his left cheek making him smile down at her before his eyes caught something in the starry night, a sigh escaped his lips. Sophie's curiosity peaked so she turned to look outside as well, seeing the clouds form a shape that looked like Silver, a star peeked out at where his cyborg eye would be, as if he were smiling down at them. Jim sighed in content while Sophie smiled softly, her head turned to her boyfriend when he placed a hand on her waist, his eyes a bit teary but smiled at her. She knew he missed Silver dearly and when they graduated they promised to one another that they'd find him and clear his name.

Jim felt a grin spread across his face as he hugged Sophie, rocking her to the music as he thought to himself – remembering his slip of the tongue to Sophie and Morph before they disembarked the RLS Legacy –in less than a year, he was going to take a step further with Sophie and she'd hopefully say yes. Looking at her dark blue eyes, he felt at ease and would happily ask now but it wasn't the time but Jim would burst at the seams if he waited too long to ask – he was excited to ask, not one part of him doubted that she'd say yes.
