Port Meeting

  A deafening explosion sounded as the portal opened allowing the RLS Legacy to escape along with some debris that managed to filter through before the portal closed and vanished forever. A shake on the shoulders snapped Sophie out of her crouched stance, slowly she lifted her hands away from her head and looked up to see Silver grinning widely. "We made it lass!" He laughed hugging her, Sophie felt a grin of relief stretch across her face as she hugged Silver back, even more when she could hear Jim cheering as he whizzed around the ship. "You done it, boy!" Silver laughed, high fiving Jim as he sped past – the happiest Sophie had ever seen him, it made her laugh as well. Morph exploded into fireworks before licking the blonde's cheeks. "Didn't I say the lad had greatness in him?" He shouted as the brunette laughed.

Jim cheered as he landed back onto the RLS Legacy, his blue eyes immediately going to Sophie Pennant, running up to her and embracing her tightly before showering her face in kisses. She laughed, pushing him away gently with her hands. He smiled down at her before they released one another as Amelia and Doppler approached, Sophie raised an eyebrow at how close they were standing to one another but kept her mouth shut. "Unorthodox, but ludicrously effective." Amelia complimented to Jim, who held Sophie's hand as he smiled at the Captain. Sophie felt a grin come to her face again, exchanging a glance with Doppler – who looked extremely proud of Jim. "I'd be proud to recommend you to the Interstellar Academy, they could use a man like you." Amelia continued, Sophie felt her heart give an extra thump, Jim would be going to school – if he accepted, it was a dream come true! He had a future after all, something he had spoken about a few weeks prior. "Just wait until your mother hears about this!" Doppler cheered, then leaned closer to Jim covering one side of his mouth, "Of course, we may downplay the life-threatening parts." Both teenagers chuckled at that, Sophie had an idea that Jim's mother would find out anyway.

"Jimmy, that was unforgettable! I know you don't like touching but get ready for a hug, big guy cause I gotta hug ya!" B.E.N shouted, grabbing Jim in a huge hug, pinning his arms to his sides. Sophie caught the playful glint in Jim's blue eyes during the brief pause before the brunette hugged the robot back, with a small laugh. "Hey, you hugged me back." B.E.N spoke with emotion as Jim released him and took Sophie's hand again. "Oh, I promised myself I wouldn't cry." He continued before breaking out into a sob, "Does anyone have a tissue?" Sophie handed him grimacing as he blew into it leaving oil all over it."Thank you." B.E.N smiled tearily, handing back the tissue to the blonde, "Umm... you can keep it." She replied, "A token! It really is my lucky day!" B.E.N cheered, hugging Sophie who laughed as she held him back. It was only then that she had noticed that Morph, Jim and Silver had disappeared from the deck.

The blonde easily slipped away to the longboats, figuring Silver would be trying to escape since Amelia promised a trial – which would be an unfortunate open and shut case. She walked in as Jim and Silver were embracing, it made her tear up a little and slowed her pace. Silver had heard her, quickly breaking away from Jim and wiping at his eyes, "Got a bit of grease in this cyborg eye of mine." He claimed, Sophie raised an eyebrow at Silver and Jim – wondering why men couldn't just admit that they had emotions! Morph cuddled into her cheek sniffling, ""Aww Morph, I'll miss you too." She cooed, feeling her eyes fill with tears again, she had no intention in stopping Silver from leaving, he had shown he was a good man despite organising a mutiny – more forgiving than Amelia. Morph then looked up at Jim and started bawling, turning into a puddle in Sophie's hands, "Oh, hey, Morph. We'll see you around, ok?" Jim soothed, giving the shapeshifter a rub of comfort. "S-see ya around." Morph sniffed, going back to Silver after licking both teenagers on the cheek.

Jim turned to Sophie and felt himself smile, wondering if she heard what he said to Silver earlier. He was also thankful that most of her bruising had cleared up, a small scabbed cut where she had headbutted Silver.

"And what do you see off that bow of yours?" Silver asked, feeling rather choked up with emotion, never believing he'd get so attached to Jim and Sophie as well. "A future." Jim replied confidently, it tugged at the cyborg's heart. "What about your lass? She's somethin' special, you'd be a fool to let her go." Silver smiled, feeling playful as Jim's cheeks reddened a little. "I won't. She makes me feel... feel that I can actually make something of my life." Jim replied, his eyes softening as he spoke about the blonde. Silver felt a tear come to his eye, having watched the pair fall in love in front of him and how grown up they had become. 

Silver eyed the teenagers, curiously watching him as he spoke quietly to Morph, they needed the shapeshifter more than himself. "Morphy, I got a job for ya." He spoke, the pink blob whimpered a little looking at Sophie and Jim, now holding hands, "I need you to keep an eye on these here pups." Silver smiled, using his first term of affection for the teenagers. "Will ya do me that little favour?" The cyborg stammered, choking up as the familiar tears sprung to his eyes again, Morph licked his cheek enthusiastically before chirping over to Sophie and Jim, both delighted to have Morph staying with them. "Sophie, keep Jimbo outta trouble. He'll be fighting many for that heart of yours." Silver smirked, Sophie shook her head and tightly embraced Silver, him hugging her back. "Keep smiling lass, I never want to hear that a smile disappeared off your face and if Jimbo is the cause of it then I'll watch yer back!" Silver spoke caringly, giving the brunette a warning glance that was acknowledged. She hopped back off the boat with Jim pulling the lever so the longboat would slowly lower down, "Oh, and one more thing!" Silver chuckled reaching into his pocket and throwing up a share of gems, jewels and coins to Jim, thankfully he caught them all. "This is for your dear mother to rebuild that inn of hers!" Sophie and Jim beamed at the cyborg as he grinned back up at them, "Stay out of trouble, ya old scalawag." Jim smirked, Sophie rolled her eyes at the comment – boys! Silver laughed merrily at the playful warning, "Why, Jimbo, lad... when have I ever done otherwise?"

"I'm going to miss him." Sophie spoke sadly, hugging her stomach. "Well, I guess I better get ready to disembark." She sighed with a shrug, Jim smiled a little at her. "Before you do..." He spoke, gently grabbing her waist, pulling her towards him and leaning down. Sophie felt a small grin grace her lips as she met him halfway, her dark blue eyes closing with his as their lips touched, feeling the same fireworks that she felt from their first one. Morph turned red and closed his eyes and when the teenagers parted, he turned into wedding bells and confetti. "A few years yet." Jim blurted without thinking, he froze and looked at Sophie, the reddest he had ever seen her, "Sorry." He mumbled, a blush on his cheeks but a small smile spread across his lips. "Don't be sorry, come on!" Sophie laughed, running out of the longboat area with Morph chirping after her.

Jim had managed to convince Amelia to let Sophie disembark the RLS Legacy with him so she could meet his mother, pulling her through the crowds until he gently placed his hand on a woman's shoulder, when she turned she could see the strong resemblance between Jim and his mother. The woman gasped in delight and hugged Jim tightly, making him let go of Sophie's hand as he hugged her back, the blonde smiled at the sight as Morph flew around then greeted Jim's mother. "Oh Jim!" She gasped, blue eyes widening when she spotted the blonde standing politely behind her son, she released Jim and smiled at Sophie. "What's your name, dear?" She asked politely, "Sophie Pennant, Mrs Hawkins." The blonde politely smiled back, "Just call me Sarah. We can go back to Delbert's for tea and you two can tell me all about your adventure." Sarah beamed, ushering the two teenagers with her, "Hang on." She spoke, Jim swallowed nervously – this would be the first time his mother met any of his girlfriends and despite not telling her straight away about his relationship with Sophie, the look on her face was clear she guessed it. Sarah carefully pointed between the two teenagers with a suspicious look on her face, Sophie reddened from the sudden attention, "Are you two... together?" Sarah asked slowly, Morph squealed and formed into a love heart making both teenagers turn beat red, Sarah laughed and embraced them both. "I am so happy for the both of you!" Jim laughed and held Sophie by the waist as his mother gushed her happiness on the way back to Doctor Doppler's house.
