{Rose pov from last chapter}

"Goodnight, Citygirl. Sleep tight don't let the critters bite."
Really, Rose? Did you have to say that..
I turned on my heel and mentally scolded myself for sounded like such a child.
"I-I U-Uh.. Yeah.. Night." Sarah says behind me. I open the apartment door and disappear inside and into the living room.
Gloria stood there makeup already wiped off and rollers wrapped in her long brown hair,
"You like her." She stated matter of factly."What?"
"You like Paulson." I stifled a laugh.
"She's my friend, Gloria."
"But you want more than that." The older woman stepped closer to me, "I can see it in your eyes. And hers."
"Sarah is my friend."
"Friends don't almost kiss, Rose."
"We were dancing! Jeez," I released a long, shaky breath, "Can't friends dance?" Gloria raised her arms, defeated, and smiled.
"Whatever you say, love." She started to walk to her bedroom but stopped upon reaching the hall, "oh! By the way.." Gloria turned, "I saw that little kiss you gave her." I rolled my eyes.
"On the cheek, Aunt G."
"She seemed to like it." And with that she continued her path to her room.
Just because I kissed her on the cheek or we danced doesn't mean I like her. Right? Right. It was strictly friendly.
I decided on the latter and made my way into my own room. To sleep off my Aunt's assumptions.

"Sounds like you like her." Lily's voice chimed through the phone.
I breathed in then out.
"Fuck.""Oh, Sar! I think she sounds wonderful. Why couldn't it work?" The blonde questioned.
"She isn't gay."
"Well, kissing you doesn't seem very hetero to you. Does it?" Throwing my head back I laughed.
"She was just saying goodnight."
"I don't kiss my friends on the cheeks when I'm saying goodnight." The younger blonde's voice got lower, "Unless I wanted more."
"Okay," I sighed, "What do I do?"
"Ask her."
"Ask what?" I could practically hear the smile in the woman's voice.
"If she likes you." I cackled at that one. Running my hands through my short hair, nervously.
"I can't just ask."
"I'd go with the flow then. If she makes a move then you should."
This is a bad, bad idea..
"Okay," I huffed, "We are going out tonight. I'll see." Lily and I said our goodbyes and I was off to get ready to go bowling.
