S A R A H

It had been weeks, I never got a call or text back from Rose. I called her everyday, but she never answered. I was finally going back to New York, and I already knew she wouldn't be there when I got back.

I walked into my apartment and tears fled down me cheeks. Memories we created here flooded my mind. I had to stop crying, but it wasn't going to be easy. I grabbed a brand new bottle of my favorite tequila and took off the cap. What seemed like hours later I was sat on the ground in the kitchen, my phone in one hand while I had the empty tequila bottle in the other.

I looked at my phone and clicked on Rose's number. It rang and rang, I was sent to voicemail. "Rose... Ba-byyyyy, I am sooo sorry. B-But, Holland ca-me onto me! Pl-Please call me back."

I laid there and kept my eyes on my phone. To my surprise I received a call. Immediately I answered, "He-Hello, Rose, baby p-pleaseee come back."

"Is it true?" I sighed in relief at the sound of her beautiful country accent. "Is it true that she kissed ya?" I nodded my head.

"I-I-YES! Wh-Why would I–"

"I can't trust ya, Sarah." Rose said and I could feel the tears well up in my eyes once more. "I can't do this." Before I could reply the phone cut off and she was gone.

Tears streamed down my face like a river, why couldn't she just trust me on this? I stood up and tried to gather myself. I packed a bag, and got on the computer. I had to get the soonest possible flight to Oklahoma.

I took the ticket for the ten o'clock flight for tomorrow morning. I stood and went to my room to pack my bags. Because  I was going get Rose Travis back.
