Rose knocked on the door and it immediately opened for us. "Who is-ROSE!" A beautiful, toothy smile spread across her face before she pulled the man in for a hug. When they finally pulled apart the man turned to me and stuck out his hand.

"Well, hello." He smiled. "I'm David, Rose's father." His southern accent was soft and very subtle as he spoke. I grabbed his hand and shook it timidly.

"It's nice to meet you, David. I'm Sarah."

"Pretty name for a pretty lady. I do suppose." Rose sighed, pushing the man playfully through the doorway.

"Dad stop." I laughed following suit.

"Where's Momma?" My girlfriend questioned

"In the kitchen cookin' supper."
The blonde turned to me and grabbed my hand. "Follow me." Once we were away from earshot I moved closer to Rose.

"Your dad seems sweet." Rose nodded, smiling widely but then suddenly her face fell.

"Wait till ya meet Ma." The latter dragged me down a short hall, then into a small but cozy dining room. Upon entering I could hear the sizzling of food on the stove, and the aftermath smells of the mixed foods.

"Momma I'm home!" Rose announced. Almost instantly footsteps could be heard striding out of the kitchen area and into the dining room. The woman that stood before us favored Rose. Quite a bit. She had the same blonde hair, besides the length slightly shorter than Rose's own. Her eyes were bright blue crystals, and her legs went on for miles just like her daughter's.

"Rose!" The older blonde opened her arms wide for Rose and enveloped her in a hug. "Bout time ya came home." Her mother uttered as they pulled apart.

"Ma this is Sarah." Rose introduced me quietly. I politely extended my hand and she took it, shaking it delicately.

"Nice ta' meet ya Sarah. I'm Evelyn."

"Likewise, Mrs.Travis."

Mrs.Travis.. Really Sarah? You sound like a teenage boy trying to get the girl's parents to let you take their daughter on a date..

"Call me Evelyn." The woman barked out a laugh. "Ya should go take Sarah out to see the horses."

"Actually, Momma.. We needed to talk to y-"

"Later," Her mother breathed sternly. "now go show her the horses."

"O-Okay.."
