NEWT'S P.O.V
"Newt!" I could here Jeff yell. I stood up and earned a glare from Clint who was tending the cut on my head. I knew Jeff was taking care of Audrey and by the tone in his voice I could tell something was wrong.
I ignored Clint's stare and ran to the room Audrey was in.
"She asked for you before she passed out." Jeff told me and I nodded.
He left the room and I sat in a chair next to her bed. Her shirt was slightly lifted over her hip. Her skin was a dark purple bruise from what I could tell. It broke my heart. I wish I could have been there sooner but the second I heard her scream bloody murder I grabbed my shovel and ran in that direction. I don't know how long she was alone with Ben or what even happened. I just know that he hurt her.
"Newt?" Alby asked from behind me. I turned to see him in the doorway.
"Minho and I are going to retrace Ben's steps in the maze. If he survived he had to have found something that helped him." He told me.
"Alright. Where is Ben?"
"In the slammer right now." he said
"What will we do with him?" we couldn't banish him We already tried that. He would probably live and attack someone else or Audrey again and I couldn't have that.
"We will talk about it When Minho and I get back." and with that he walked out of the room closing the door behind him.
I faced Audrey and noticed how heavily she was breathing. She was flinching and crying in her sleep. I leaned over her to try and wake her up but the second I touched her arm she screamed. I stood up and shook her harder than I normally would to wake her.
Her eyes shot open and she immediately pulled me closer and began to sob into my shirt.
"I was so scared," she cried. I knelt down next to the bed so she was now crying on my shoulder.
"He was going to kill me," she whispered with tears falling down her cheeks.
"What happened? Did you have a nightmare?" I asked pulling my sister away from My shoulder.
"Ben. He got out of the slammer! He found me and chased me! He caught me Newt!" I pulled her into my arms again. "He caught me!" She whispered again.
"He will never even look at you again. I promise." I told her. "I need to go talk to Alby and Minho okay? I will be right outside."
She began to protest me leaving when I 8interrupted "I will be back in less than five minutes, I promise."
"Okay" she said taking a deep breath. Once she was completely calmed down I walked out of the medjacks hut.
I walked quickly over to the maze entrance and found Minho waiting for Alby.
"How is she?" he asked highly concerned.
"Bloody terrified. She's scared to be in a room alone." I told him
"Shouldn't you be with her?"
"I need to see Alby before you leave." and with that Alby came running up.
"Ben can't get out right?" I asked quickly
"Newt your worrying too much." he said
"She is my sister I can worry all I bloody want especially since the guy who just attacked her is still in the glade. I need you to tell me that he can't get out. He can't get out right?" I asked
"He won't Newt." He said, "There are going to be at least ten guys watching him 24/7. I've already had Gally and the builders start reinforcing his cell and the door. He isn't going anywhere. We gotta go now or we won't be back on time."
"Bye Newt" Minho said
"Bye." they turned and ran into the door. I walked back to the medjacks hut and into Audrey's room. I was a lot less worried now then I was before.
