AUDREY'S P.O.V
"What's in her hand" a boy called out to Newt who was in the box kneeling next to the girl who appeared to be dead. He reached over and unclenched her fist. In it was a piece of paper. He opened it and read it out loud.
"She's the last one. Ever." he read. He looked up at us. "Well what the Hell does that mean?" He asked
The second he finished his question the girls eyes opened. They were a bright blue. She was breathing heavily and looked to my left. Thomas was standing there.
"Thomas" she said and fell back into her coma.
"Still think I'm over reacting?" Gally asked looking around.
A few boys picked up the girl and brought her to the medjacks hut.
"You should go help out the medjacks. They could use another pair of hands." Newt said. I had gone back to working in the fields and I was more than happy to help Clint and Jeff. I ran over there and was told to sit in Alby's room and monitor him. I pulled up a chair and sat down. Fifteen minutes later Newt Minho and Thomas walked into the hut. I got up and followed them to the girl's room.
"Jeff what's going on? What's the matter with her? Why won't she wake up?" Newt asked right away.
"Hey man I got my job the same way you did." Jeff responded leaving the room.
"Well?" Newt asked looking at Thomas. "Do you recognize her?"
"No." Thomas said
"Really because she seemed to recognize you." Newt shot at him.
"Newt." I said giving him a look that told him to calm down. He shouldn't be getting mad at Thomas.
"What about the note?" Thomas asked
"We will worry about the note later." Newt said
"I think you should worry about it now." Thomas said
"You've got enough to deal with already." Newt replied
"He's right Newt. The Box isn't coming back up how long do you think we can last?" I asked
"Lets just wait til she wakes up and see what she knows." Newt decided. Thomas began to walk out the door.
"Where are you going Thomas?" I called out.
"Back into the maze." He replied
Newt looked at Minho who then ran after him. I went back into Alby's room and Newt followed.
"Why do you seem so mad with Thomas?" I asked him after we settled into chairs next to the bed.
"Something tells me that he knows something and he isn't bloody telling us." he told me
"Something tells me that you don't know that for sure." I said raising an eyebrow at him.
He sighed and walked out of the room
