MINHO'S P.O.V.
"We can go together" she said. I didnt like the idea if her leaving the somewhat stable shelter. She was at least somewhat protected under the collapsed roof. "You're not goine alone and I'm not staying here by myself."
"Fine," I told her, "but only if we stay together."
"Deal." she agreed
"Deal."
With that I reached for her hand and walked out the door.
"Chuck get the other syringe." I heard Teresa say. She was kneeling on the ground with a few other gladers. They surrounded what looked like a body lying on the ground. Chuck ran past me and I decided to ask him what happened since everyone else seemed too busy.
"Who got stung?" I asked him as we ran to the homestead. Audrey ran with us
"Thomas."
"Is he dead?" Aud asked
"No he just got stung." he replied and slowed to a walk as we reached the place Teresa had put the small vile. We helped him find the last syringe as fast as we could and ran it quickly back to Teresa.
"Here" Chuck aid holding the syringe out. She took it and didn't hesitate to inject it into Thomas's shaking arm. He instantly relaxed. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
"Where's Newt?" Audrey asked everyone
"He's at the blood house. It got destroyed. Hes going around the glade to see what's damaged." Teresa told me and Audrey nodded.
"Come on there's nothing for us to do until morning. Let's get some sleep." I told her and gently pulled her hand. We began walking ti the homestead. When we got there it seemed completely untouched by the grievers.   We reached Audrey's room and stopped outside her door.
"Get some sleep okay?" I told her "dont stress about everything all night."
"I cant make any promises" she said before lifting herself onto her toes and pecking my lips. She opened her door and went in but turned back to me. "Would you stay with me tonight?"
AUDREY'S P.O.V
I couldn't believe I just asked him that.
"Of course." he said to my surprise. I was grateful because now I was scared. The doors probably were still open and the Grievers could come back. Since Alby was gone Newt was in charge and he probably had a full plate for the night.
After we both changed into clean clothes for the night we settled onto my bed with my head resting on his chest and his hand rubbing my back.
"Everything is going to he so different now," I said looking up at his face, "arent they?"
"Nothing that we cant handle alright?" He said. He kissed my head and relaxed his head back into the pillow pulling my waist closer to him. "For right now let's just get some sleep while we can. I promise no greicers will mess with you the rest of the night"
"I'm holding you to that promise" I said as my eyes closed.
