Eddie's POV
I woke up to the blaring noise of my alarm clock. I slapped my hand on my nightstand until I found the snooze button. I heard a groan beside me and I smiled. Aleks hated the alarm clock's loud noise more than I do.
I was about to get up when a pair of arms snaked around my waist.
"Eddie," Aleks grumbled, his voice slurring with a slight Russian accent.
"Yes Aleks?" I cooed, amused at his adorableness. He blinked his sparkling brown eyes open.
"Do you have to go to school today?"
"Yes. But I am mainly going because my friends are so fucking lazy and they don't ever want to hang out in person. Plus, I promised Kevin I would see him." I blushed a little when I saw Aleks pout.
"You like Kevin more than me, don't you?" I rolled my eyes. Ever since I first told Aleks about Kevin, he keeps insisting that I'm replacing him.
"No, Aleks. I could never do that. You're too cute." I say, slipping out of his strong grasp. He groaned and flopped his head back onto the pillow he was sleeping on.
"I'll be back after school. But just a warning, Kevin and Steven are coming over today." I heard Aleks shoot up out of bed and I quickly closed the door.
"Hopefully." I whispered under my breath. I quickly got ready for school and was out the door. I walked to the bus stop and waited under the large tree nearby. I set my backpack on the ground and took out my phone.
After a couple of minutes of playing random games, I heard a familiar deep voice.
"Hey Eddie." Kevin said as he set his backpack on the ground next to mine.
"Hey, you were almost late. Did your dog keep you?" I joked. Ever since Kevin came up with the pitiful excuse of having a dog instead of a hybrid, I had been teasing him about it. Kevin rolled his eyes.
"He wanted pancakes before I left." He said shrugging. I giggled loudly as the bus pulled up. I go a few stares from the other people at the bus stop, but I was too busy holding my stomach and wiping away tears from laughing so hard.
"Steven is such a little kid, oh my god." I said as we went to the back of the bus in our usual seats.
Kevin sighed, his face pink.
"Well he can't help it. Was Aleks like that at first?"
"No, he had actually been taken from his home in Russia when he was eight. He knew about the outside world and all of its luxuries."
Kevin nodded, as if in thought.
"Oh hey. I was wondering if you and Steven wanted to come over today? Aleks keeps nagging about how 'I'm replacing him.' Maybe we could tease him a little? And I would also like to talk to Steven privately."
Kevin nodded as the bus stopped for the last pickup. I looked at he door expectantly, waiting for my friends. I saw James walk in first, his face a little bit red. Maybe he was running late? Kootra came in next, fiddling with his red cap he always wears.
And lastly, Dan came in, holding a file with paper in it. They walked to the back of the bus and sat in the seats surrounding me and Kevin.
"Hey guys, what's up?" I asked with a grin.
"Almost had to pull a full-nighter for this stupid english report." Dan grumbled unhappily. He had bags underhis eyes, and his hair was a mess.
"I ran into a uh, cat along the way. I brought it back to my house." James said with smile. I raised a brow. Kevin was the only one who knew I had a hybrid.
Did James find a hybrid too? And what is up by describing them as their animal part? I didn't call Aleks my dog or Corgi or whatever the fuck.
I looked at Kvin and he had the same look on his face.
"Do you think.." Kevin trailed off quietly so that the guys wouldn't hear. I nodded.
"Definately."
James found a cat hybrid.

little cute short chapter X3 I felt like writing so I did. Yup.
Also, a thing I have noticed. All the plot stuff happens in Eddie's POV for some reason XD
