Aleks's POV
I was watching TV when Eddie came home from school. I was trying to gather up my courage. I was going to tell him about my feelings. I felt my face heat up just at the thought of telling him. I took a deep breath and got up from the couch.
"E-Eddie?" I stuttered. He set his backpack besides the door, turning to look at me.
"Yeah?" He asked. I walked over to him, not sure what to say.
Fuck it. I thought. I cupped Eddie's face and kissed him softly. He tensed up, and I was worried he would push me away. Thank God I was wrong. He relaxed and even kissed me back.
I smiled into the kiss and he did too. I put my hands into his hair and he wrapped his arms around my waist. His tongue grazed my lips. I opened my mouth, hoping that was what he wanted. This was my first time kissing someone and I wanted to make sure I did it right.
His tongue slipped in and we played with each other's tongues. I moaned and blushed even more when he chuckled a little. We finally pulled away for air.
"Aleks," He trailed off. I was nervous.
"Hmm?" I mumbled. Eddie gave me a soft smile, pulling me closer to him.
"Relax," he whispered kissing me gently. I felt the tension in my shoulders disappear. I melted. I broke the kiss this time. I wasn't as nervous as before, I think can tell him now.
"Eddie, I love you." I murmured, hiding my red face in the crook of his neck. Eddie pulled his face close to one of my ears.
"I love you too Aleks." I smiled, my short tail wagging happily. I shyly look back up at him and peck his lips. Eddie smiled and kissed my forehead. Suddenly he had a look of realization.
"Oh! I have to go pick up Kevin and Steven." He said. I felt my heart stop. I was beyond nervous now. I didn't know how Steven would act around me. I mean I had only seen him while he was getting mauled from animals.
He might be hostile towards me, who knows?
Eddie quickly exited the house before I could object.
"Fuck!" I growled. I sighed and pace back and forth. It took a couple minutes before the door handle turned. I looked toward the door with worry. Eddie entered first, followed by who I assumed was Kevin. Lastly was...Steven.
He was wearing a red t-shirt with black skinny jeans along with some beat up converse. He had no look of anger or hostility like I expected. In fact, he seemed delighted to see me. He eagerly walked towards me, his tail wagging happily.
"Hi Aleks!" He said with a smile. All anxiety I had flew out the window. There wasn't a mean bone in his body.
"Hey Steven." I said, returning his smile with my own. Eddie and Kevin were having a hushed conversation behind us. I turned my head and I realized that they were staring. I tipped my head to the side.
"What?" I asked. Eddie let out a giggle and Kevin was chuckling darkly. I looked at Steven and he was rolling his eyes, his face slightly red. What the fuck was going on? Is there something I'm missing?
"What are you laughing about?" I said, feeling irritation explode in my stomach.
"Nothing." Eddie said, trying not to laugh. I let out an angry sigh and rolled my eyes. I grabbed Steven by the wrist and dragged him to the couch, out of earshot of those two goofballs.
Right now I wanted to speak with Steven privately. I want to ask how he got out.
