Steven's POV
The rest of the walk was with Eddie and Kevin talking about me and Aleks. That's probably all they ever talk about.
"So when did you guys first kiss?" Eddie asked. I turned my head in his direction, feeling my face burn.
"A couple of days ago. We were messing around in the forest and it just kinda, happened." Kevin answered, smiling at the memory. I looked at my feet, trying to hide my blush. Unfortunately, Kevin had other plans.
He lifted my face up and smirked at my blush. I rolled my eyes and playfully pushed him off of me. Eddie and Kevin were giggling like school girls at this point. I guess they find it funny when I get embarassed.
Hmph, I'll show him when we get home. See how he likes getting teasd for blushing. I thought.
Eventually we arrived at Eddie house. He turned the door knob and entered, followed by Kevin. I took a deep breath and stepped through the doorway.
Inside was a living room leading to an open kitchen. There was a pale brown-haired boy that I was familiar with. I smiled at him.
"Hi Aleks!" He seemed relieved by my kind tone. Was he nervous? I would have figured he would be excited or something. I shrugged it off.
"Hey Steven." He said with a slight smile of his own. I had never seen him smile before. I don't see why he would have had a reason when he was in lab. I didn't have a reason either.
I tried to push thoughts of that hell in the back of my mind, focusing only on the present. I turned when I heard Eddie and Kevin mumbling something about Aleks. Aleks looked over at them with a confused face. I rolled my eyes, knowing my face was pink.
"What?" He said, his head tipping to the side. Both of them laughed darkly under their breath.
"What are you laughing about?" Irritation thickening his voice. Eddie took a breath from laughing before he answered.
"Nothing," He said, choking the words out before laughing again. Aleks sighed and rolled his eyes before dragging me to the side of the living room where Kevin and Eddie wouldn't hear us.
"Alright, now they won't hear us unless we're loud." He murmured, glancing between me and Eddie.
I nodded.
"What do you want to talk about?" I asked, already knowing what it was.
"How'd you get out?" Aleks asked, seemingly genuinely curious. I sighed, and rubbed my eyes. I knew this is what he would want to talk about.
"When there was news of your escape, I was determined to escape too. I now knew that there was hope of getting out. I made a plan. When the scientists had to take me to a check-up, I just thought of all the horrible things they had done, and I attacked them." I said, pausing to sigh and to not think about the pain I had inflicted.
Aleks was hanging on to every word.
"I then pushed past some gurads and jumped out the window into that pond outside. It hurt like crazy, but I somehow managed to keep running. I then stumbled my into Kevin's house and now I'm here." I finished. Aleks was nodding, looking deep in thought.
I felt slightly relieved after telling what happened. I just hope I never have to hirt someone again.
