"What will you have?" Abhi asked me, while I was looking at the menu.

I did like death by chocolate, but it consisted of vanilla!! ughhh. "Rocky road." I said.

He nodded at me and ordered for us, "One rocky road and One vanilla." I made a face at him.

"What? I like vanilla. That's the only flavor I like." He defended himself.

"I hate vanilla." I stated, vehemently.

"Good for me, I think." He said, smiling mischievously. I had a feeling we weren't talking about Ice cream flavors anymore and When I realized what he insinuated, I blushed and looked away.

We took our seats and an awkward silence fell between us. I was fidgeting nervously when he said, "Can't you sit still for a minute."

I stopped and glared at him, when I realized something and I started to panic.

"Whoa whoa. Relax. What's wrong?" He asked, looking at me like I was crazy.

"I didn't let Diya know where I am. She must be worried." I said. How could I forget to inform her? She must be freaking out. How could I get so busy with Abhi, that I forgot to inform her. Tears of guilt formed in my eyes.

I pulled out my cell phone to see 3 missed calls and 10 text messages, all asking me where I was. I sighed and texted her that I would call her later.

"Don't worry. I already told her that you where with me. Besides, I did have to ask her for permission to take you on a date." He said, winking at me.

I looked at him shocked and stammered, "What? Permission? This..this...is..not...not a...date."

"Whatever makes you sleep at night." He said, smirking at my flushed face.

"This is not a date. For it to be a date, you would actually have to ask me out, you just ordered me into this." I glared at him and asked, " And why do you need permission from Diya?"

"She's your best friend, right. And She would literally chop off my...ba...I mean my head if I misbehave with you." He said, sheepishly and continued, "So does that mean you want to go out with me....again."

I was flabbergasted. what do you say to something like that. I did want to get to know him better and maybe get into a relationship with him. Whoa!!! Where the hell did that come from. I shook my head to clear it and looked at him.

"Just eat your ice cream." I said, the only response I could come up with.

Abhi dropped me home and now, I was standing beside his bike, while he had his helmet in his hands. We both didn't know what to say to each other. His running his hands through his hair, gave his nervousness away. It was late, I should get inside before my parents decided to come look for me.

"I should go. I ... Thanks for the Ice cream. I really needed that." I said, smiling at him.

He grinned at me and said, "You're welcome. You should do that, often."

"What?" I asked.

"Smile." he said, with a soft look at me.

"Bye." I said, smiling softly. As I turned to go, he said, "Wait."

I looked at him, while, he rubbed his hands over his face frustrated.

"What is it?" I prompted, when he didn't say anything for a long time.

"Nothing. I just.... would it be okay.... what if I want to talk to you, sometime?" He asked, looking at me vulnerably with puppy dog eyes. I didn't know what to do now. Should I give him my number? Should I take a chance? I found my answer in his eyes.

"Is this your way of asking my number?" I asked, teasing him.

Faint color bloomed over his cheeks. He was blushing, making him look adorable.

"Forget it." he said, looking embarrassed. I hid my smile.

"I guess I'll see you around." He said, hurt and started his bike.

"Abhimanyu." I said softly. He looked up at me with hope. " give me your phone." I held out my hand for his phone. He dumbly handed it to me and I punched in my number and handed it back.

There was no need for words after that. He grinned at me and I felt my own answering smile and walked towards my door. He waited till I got inside safely and then he left. I closed the door and leaned against it with a broad smile on my face. What a day!!

"Why are you smiling like a crazy murderer? " My sister, Shruti asked me, looking at me like I was crazy.

"Nothing." I sighed, "I'm tired. I'm going to sleep."

I went into my room and squealed hiding my face in my pillow and kicking my legs in the air. My face was flushed and I was grinning like a psycho, but I didn't care and slept with a smile on my face.
