AFREEN
"I can't do this." I said.
"Why not?" Farhan asked.
"I just can't, Farhan. Please don't force me." I pleaded.
"Baby, I'm here with you. Don't be scared." he cooed.
"What if someone finds out?" I asked scared
"Who is going to find out?" He said
"But still..." I said, in dilemma.
"I have been waiting for this for a long time. Please don't make me wait anymore." Farhan said.
"This is a huge thing for me, Farhan. We can't go back after this." I said.
"What's the problem? Anyways, we are going to get married in future. You will have to do this after marriage." he said, smirking.
"We are still not married. To do this...is "I trailed off.
"We will cross the threshold together okay?" he said, soothingly, he continued, "Hold on to me."
I closed my eyes and gripped his hand tightly in mine and entered his empty home.
"Phew." I exhaled loudly.
"See, scardy cat. Did you burst into ashes after entering my home?" Farhan, teased me.
I glared at him and dropped his hand. He had made me skip classes today. His family was out of station and he had somehow coerced me into coming here with him.
I felt it was wrong because no one was home and we were all alone and it was making me nervous and I sweat when I'm nervous. What if someone does see us? His parents already hated me and his sister suspects about our relationship. If my family finds out, I would be married off the next day. I couldn't think about anything else other than the fact, that this was wrong. I just stood in the living room, without seeing anything, with these thoughts churning in my head.
I felt light tugging on my hands and was soon enveloped in a warm hug.
" Will you stop worrying? I am seeing you after so many days. Do you know what that does to me? Can we please spend some time with each other and can I have your full attention on me and not these silly thoughts." he whispered in my ear, with his breath tickling my hair.
I just nodded and his hands tightened around me and my hands, of their own accord wrapped around him.
Finally I pulled out of his embrace, with him reluctant to let me go.
"Will you even show me around your home? After all, this might be my first and last visit." I teased him.
"Our home." he corrected me and we ended up in his room. His room was towards the back of the house on the first floor, with a balcony. I stepped out onto it and stood gazing at the garden below. The branches of the tree nearby reached out till the balcony.
Farhan wrapped his arms around me from behind and rested his chin on my shoulder.
He sighed, "I could stay like this forever."
"mmhmmm." I mumbled.
He turned me around and I felt his gaze on my lips and I knew what was going to happen. We kept staring at each other and I was still wrapped in his arms. He moved his face an inch closer to mine and his warm breath tickled my face. I closed my eyes in anticipation and bells started ringing. Wait!! Bells? Shit.
I opened my eyes in shock and Farhan hadn't moved. I pushed him back, but he didn't budge. The doorbell rang again and I yelled, "Farhan. Someone's at the door."
He snapped out of the daze and looked towards where we heard the bell again and back at me. He rubbed his face with his hands and looked at me seriously and said, "Stay right here. Don't make a sound. I'll see who it is."
I was panicking now. I knew it was a bad idea. I shouldn't have come here. What am I going to do? I am so dead. What if someone caught us? What if the person who had come knew me? He would tell my dad and.... Tears rushed to my eyes.
I started pacing around the room, thinking what to do. I couldn't hear anything from downstairs. I didn't know who that person is or if he/she left. Should I hide in the bathroom or would the closet be better. Oh my god!! I'm going to be sick.
"Breathe Afreen, Breathe." I said to myself.
I took few breaths to calm myself and said, "I have got to get out of here."
I looked at the balcony and an idea popped into my head. I looked towards the door to make sure that no one was coiming and headed towards the balcony.
I looked down and saw that the ground wasn't that far. I grabbed hold of the nearest branch and climbed onto the tree. Trying to make as less noise as possible, I climbed down the tree.
I jumped from the last branch and dusted myself. I hid behind the tree and looked towards the house to see if someone had heard me.
I sighed in relief when I spotted no one and dashed towards the back gate and got out.
I left a text to Farhan to let him know that I had left and I would call him later.
"Phew. What a day!!" I exclaimed and hurried away from that area to get back home.
