If True Love Exists

Chapter 11

"It's so good to see you again!" Elisa exclaimed rushing to hug her. Willa smiled and hugged her back. Elisa leaned back and looked at her.

"What's wrong? You look sad. Are you sad? Is everything okay?" She asked.

"Everything is fine," Willa said, she sighed. "Philby and I are just sort of having some problems, that's all."

"Oh no! What happened?" Elisa said moving to sit down in her desk chair, Willa put her luggage by her bed and sat down cross legged.

"I don't know, we just kept fighting. He drives me crazy and can just be the worst sometimes!" Willa said burying her head in her hands.

"So why keep holding on if you can never get a long?" Elisa asked sympathetically.

Willa looked up eyes red. "Elisa I love him more than I ever thought I could love anyone."

"Then keep fighting for this. Make this pain worth it."

"You're right. I didn't go through all I've been through with him to give up now." Willa said wiping her eyes and reached out to hug her.

"So," Elisa said "What do you want to do tonight? We could watch Netflix and order in pizza, we could hang out with the gang or I can just leave you alone if you want."

"It would be nice to see everyone again, we could all go grab some dinner. I'm not really tired, I've had some time to rest and I got somewhat used to Pacific time."

"Great! I'll get changed!" Elisa said enthusiastically going to the bathroom to shower and get ready.

Willa moved to her desk and applied a little make up and braided her hair. She looked down at her simple cable knit sweater and jeans and decided she didn't need to change. She was glad they had decided to go out, it would be good to get out of her head and think of something other than her and Philby's troubles.

Willa, Sarah, Mike, Elisa and Tyler all sat around the table at a chic Chinese restaurant laughing. Mike was sharing a story about his Christmas break and had them all in stitches.

" I think we can all agree Mike definitely had the most interesting Christmas break..." Sarah joked.

"Oh yeah, for sure," Tyler said. "Willa what did you do again?"

"Oh, I visited my friends in California."

"Cool! Bet you were sad I wasn't there" He said with a wink. Willa looked a bit confused. Elisa's eyes darted between them.

"Tyler, you know Willa has a boyfriend, right?" Elisa said.

Tyler blushed bright red and a look of shock passed over his face.

"Of course I knew that. I was just joking!" He stumbled. They all awkwardly laughed. Thankfully Sarah started telling about a concert she had gone to over the holidays and the tension broke apart.
