Part 23: P.S- I Love You

It was a bright Sunday morning and Nandini was sitting near her room's window, reading a book named "P.S- I Love You." She was on a very emotional part, which made her sob like a newborn baby. That's when her mobile ringtone blasted in her room. She would have killed that person for ruining her moment, if it wasn't her most favorite person calling.

"Hello Manik. What's up?" Nandini spoke with a tinge of sadness which didn't go unnoticed by Manik.

"Nandini? Kya hua? Why are you sad? Who made you cry? I will kill that person? Tell me now!" It didn't take even a second for Manik's rage to reach the seventh sky. A cut on her and he would be ready to go on a killing spree.

"Offo Manik! Nothing happened. I was just reading a book. It was a very emotional part and that's when you called. Gosh. You should take some anger management classes." Nandini chuckled at her man child.

"What yaar? I got so scared. You know that it hurts me so much to see you hurt. I would kill for you." Manik replied nonchalantly.

"Okay Mr. Killer. Take a deep breath and tell me why did you call?" She tried to change the scary topic.

"Miss Murthy I know you're trying to change the topic. Anyway I have called because you need to come to my house asap. It's urgent."

Nandini realizing the urgency in his voice became tensed.
"Kya hua Manik? Is everything all right?"

"Nandini just come fast. Don't worry. I'll be waiting for you." Manik replied and immediately cut the call. Nandini's worries shot skyhigh and without wasting a single moment, she frantically left for Malhotra Mansion.

Location: Malhotra Mansion.
Nandini ran inside "their" house as Manik likes to call it, with a pace her tiny legs would allow. The guards and the servants, would never dare to stop her in her tracks since, they know her as the future Queen of the Malhotra household. In fact, they were more than happy to submit themselves to a kind and loving Queen like her. She made her way to Manik's room, because that's where the King is always found. Not finding him on the bed or in the bathroom, she moved towards the balcony.
