Part 16: Gone Gone Gone

As soon as Manik and Nandini entered the college,hand in hand, all of the people present there gasped in awe. They were looking picture perfect. The girls burned in jealousy seeing Nandini with the dream guy of theirs. While the boys envied Manik as he was having the most beautiful girl by his side. Nandini sensed the unknown gazes which made her uncomfortable. Manik noticed the boys looking at her with lust. He could have taught them a good lesson but he controlled himself as he didn't want to ruin her day. Manik held Nandini by her waist possessively and pulled her close to him. It was his way of telling the world she's his girl and nobody should dare to even look at her. She just smiled lovingly which melted him down. Fab 4 and Navya had already reached the venue. MaNan saw them standing near the drinks counter so they went towards them. All of them were looking exceptionally good.
"Ahaa so the power couple has finally arrived." Cabir exclaimed bringing other's attention towards them.
"Vaise Nandini aaj kuch khaas hain kya? you are looking extremely gorgeous." Alya complimented her.
"Thank you Alya. Even you are looking amazing." Nandini replied.
"But yeh Manik toh ekdum chomu dikh raha hain." Cabiraa as always succeeded in annoying Manik. Everybody giggled but Nandini somehow controlled as she didn't want to hurt him.
"Cabirrrrr tu tohh!" Manik was stopped in mid way by the principal's announcement.
"So students welcome to S.P.A.C.E fresher's party 2015. I'm glad to see all your happy faces. But the best moments are yet to come. So brace yourselves. Like last year,this year too we will have an amazing start by the most happening band i.e. Fab 5. Please give them a huge round of applause. Enjoy!"
Fab 5 couldn't be anymore proud of themselves. They have been together through thick and thin. They never let the fame come between their friendship.
Fab 5 had a group hug which was like a ritual before their performance. Nandini was so proud of her Manik and her friends. She prayed to her Aiyappa to always keep them together. They were walking towards the stage when Manik all of a sudden realized something. He turned and ran towards his angel.
"Kya hua Manik.?" She asked innocently.
"I forgot this." He kissed her forehead because he knew she would feel alone when he's gone.
"All the best Manik."
"Thank you. I'll be back soon." Saying this he returned to the back stage for the performance.
The lights dimmed down except for a spotlight on the stage. Manik was standing with a guitar in his hand. He was looking mesmerizing. He strummed the guitar ever so effortlessly. He then looked at Nandini and gestured "This song is for you."
And she couldn't contain her excitement.
