It was the weekend after the dinner with the Murthy's. Nandini was sleeping peacefully, when Chachi knocked on her door.
"Nandini beta, uth jao. Time dekho kitna ho gaya hain!"
On hearing this she jerked out of her bed and checked the time on her phone. It was just 7 am. It was her habit to sleep till late afternoon on the weekends and the entire Murthy household was well aware of it. She grumpily opened the door for Chachi to come in and again went and laid back on her bed.
"Kya chachi? It's only 7. Aapko pata hain na main late uthti hu. Fir kyu uthaya aapne?" She cribbed like a 4 year old. Sleep was very dear to her.

"I know beta. But what can I do if your Manik told me to do so?" Chachi replied with a huge smirk on her face. Nandini almost fell off her bed, because of the newfound information.

"What? Manik ne? But kyu? Is he gone mad? I'm gonna kill him for ruining my sleep! Urgh!" She buried her face into the pillow out of annoyance. No one in fact not even Manik could replace the love she had for sleep.

"Voh mujhe nahi pata. I just know that he's going to take you out somewhere and I have been told to get you ready by 8." Chachi had a playful smile on her face all the while.

"Kya aap kisi ke saath bhi bhej dogi mujhe? Jao aapse baat nahi karungi." She hit the soft chord of her beloved Chachi's heart. She took her head and placed it lovingly on her laps. She caressed her hair and said "Never my baccha. Tujhe toh main kahi jaane na du. Tu toh meri jaan hain. I trust Manik with you, completely. That's why I'm letting you go." Her words brought tears in Nandini's eyes. Who says only your birth-mother can love you unconditionally?

"Okay my dear Chachi! Don't be so senti now. I will get ready ok. Nahi toh aapka sona munda mujhe kha jaayega!"

"Chup kar! Jaldi se aa. Breakfast ready hain."
