I walked downstairs, smiling brightly at my boyfriend that was sitting on the couch, playing GTA V with his friends that he met by gaming. I sat next to him on the couch, watching not to sit on his phone. I looked at the screen, watching him blow up buildings, people, and the police. I crossed my legs and stretched, not wanting to distract him from his game. I stared at him, noticing the smile on his face as he swears at everyone else.

Soon enough, he said goodbye to everyone and put his controller down, yawning. I looked at him and smiled, he looked back at me and didn't smile back. All he did was ask me one question, "Aren't you supposed to be working by now?"

My smile saddened. I looked at the calendar I put up on the fridge and saw it was Friday. I never work on Fridays and he knows that. My frowned at Craig as I turned back to him, "It's Friday. I never work on a Friday and you know that."

He grunted, ruffling his hair in frustration. "Why don't you go out for once???"

I sighed and uncrossed my legs to stand up. I went to the kitchen and quickly crossed out yesterday on the calendar. I noticed the little note on the Thursday two weeks from now and smiled. It was a small post-it saying "Special Occasion ;)".

I went upstairs and changed into (Choice of Clothes). I grabbed my (Bag or Purse) and put my phone, wallet, and some gift cards I still haven't used for what felt like a year. I trotted back downstairs and sped out the door into the cold. I saw the white snow covering everything, making it look like everything was white and only white.

I walked to the mall, staring at the happy couples holding hands and cuddling each other, trying to keep themselves warm. I felt my phone vibrate and took it out. I saw a text message from my best friend Alex. I smiled at his text.

A: You have some free time? I have (Favorite Movie) and some (Favorite Hot Drink) prepared for a marathon if you want. xx

I quickly texted back, imaging him with his phone in his hand while doing many other things at the same time.

Me: Haha, of course Alex. What time do you want me to be there? I can grab some other food and drinks if you'll allow me this time. xx

Right after I sent the text, he sent me one back. I wonder how fast the boy types.

A: Maybe around  5-ish? I mean, you can get some extra food and drinks if you want.. but I don't want you to waste your money. ;) xx

I laughed aloud and shook my head.

Me: There's NO WAY I can waste my money and you know that! Is there anyone else you're inviting? Like Marie and Jesse? xx

A: You want to invite to twins with us? xx

Me: Yeah! Imagine the four of us hanging out like we used to when we were in high school! Plus, we haven't caught up with the twins at all. We don't even know what they're doing with their lives right now. xx

A: Good point.. You wanna invite them or shall I? xx

Me: Can you invite them while I go grab some of the food and drinks? You better be the gentleman. xx

A: Sure. And when am I not a gentleman? ;) xx Ttyl, (Nickname)!

Me: Bye, (Your Choice of Nickname for Alex)! And I'll tell you later! XD xx
