Hiccup's P.O.V

“This is amazing.” Merida stated as she released my midsection and put her arms in the air. The wind blew her curls back revealing her pale face. Her blue eyes sparkled with pure joy as she hollered. “Whooooohooooo!” She shouted as I chuckled softly. “What’s so funny Hiccup?” She stated while she grabbed the back of my shirt and pulled me back. I tried to swallow the large lump that was caught in my throat that was preventing me from answering her but I was still speechless. She released my shirt and groaned. “Uh nothing.” I tried. She didn’t respond. “So why exactly did you come to Berk again?” I asked. “I had a fight with my mother.” She explained. “Oh.” I responded. “About what?” I continued. “She had arranged for me to marry a man from an enemy country in order to make a peace offering. I thought she would have gotten the message after what had happened the last time.” Merida explained. “Oh yeah that’s right Merida had gotten into a fight with her mother about this before. She found a spell and it changed her mother into a bear.” I thought to myself. “So you ran away?” I asked. “Yes but I wasn’t expecting to run away this far.” She stated. I looked over my shoulder at her and shot her a look of confusion. “After our argument I went into the forest to clear my head. When I was in there a Willow O’ the Wisp appeared to me. I followed the trail of them until I reached the ocean. The trail continued on the water and past the horizon. I found a small boat nearby and sustained the way they had laid out for me.” She explained. “And they led you here?” I asked. “Yes.” She answered. “That’s interesting; perhaps they wanted you to come with me to the North Pole.” I stated. “We’re going to the North Pole?” Merida questioned. “Yeah but don’t worry we’ll get there in no time.” I strained as I fished inside my pocket for the globe North had given me. “I don’t know how to tell you this Hiccup but the Artic is at least a few days travel even by dragon.” Merida stated. I ignored her comment and shook the globe tenderly. I then brought it to my face and told it my destination. “The North Pole.” I said before I threw it. A portal opened almost instantly and sucked us in and before I knew it we were transported to the North Pole.
