THE BIG FOUR STORY: Chapter 16 - Rocky start

Merida's P.O.V

I had always believed in magic but never in my life did I think it was possible to travel as far as the North Pole by snow globe.  Hiccup seemed pretty calm about it and I trusted him, so I wasn’t too worried about it. When we made it through the portal Toothless went crazy. He went from a calm state to a full on animal. We appeared in a large room with a globe rotating slowly in it, by the globe a girl with ridiculously long hair stood in horror. “What is she so freaked out about?” I said to Hiccup. “Perhaps the deadly dragon we are riding.” Hiccup answered. “Jack?” Hiccup asked as he looked over Toothless’ head. Toothless was growling and glaring at a boy who was under him. Hiccup’s dragon had pinned the boy down making it hard for him to move. “I guess dragons hold pretty long grudges huh?” The boy huffed. Hiccup got off of Toothless then offered his hand to help me down. I took it gladly and slipped off of Toothless. “Toothless you know Jack is a friend.” Hiccup tried but Toothless growled even louder in disagreement.  “Toothless let him go bud.” Hiccup said sternly. Toothless looked at Hiccup in annoyance then back at Jack. “I brought some fish for you bud.” Hiccup added. Toothless grumbled then roared in Jack’s face. After his little tantrum Toothless let him go and went to Hiccup’s side. “That a boy.” Hiccup praised as he scratched under his dragon’s chin and gave him a fish. “Jack?” the girl with the long hair stated. Jack sat up on his elbows and turned his head towards her. “It’s alright Punzie he’s a friend….. well at least his trainer is.” Jack explained. “And who are you?” Jack asked as he pointed at me. “I am Merida firstborn of clan DunBroch.” I stated proudly. Jack stood up and made his way to me. “I didn’t ask for your whole life story, just your name.” He said rudely. I scoffed at him and crossed my arms. “And you’re Jack?” I inquired. “Jack Frost to be precise.” He said as he leaned on some sort of shepherd staff. “There’s no such thing as Jack Frost.” I stated as I glared at him. He flinched slightly at my comment. He shook his head then pointed at me. “You know you are a pretty bad liar. You can see me so you obviously believe in Jack Frost.” He stated. I rolled my eyes. “What are you talking about?” I questioned. “Oh no here we go.” Hiccup said as he shook his head. “In order for you to see me you have to believe in me.” Jack explained. “Oh so like a curse.” I quipped. “A what?” Jack said as he shot me a glare. “A curse as in a jinx to be able to see and hear…..well this.” I stated as I gestured to all of him. Jack’s expression seemed hurt by my comment but it quickly changed to anger. “You think you’re funny Merida of Dumbroth.” Jack insulted. “It’s DunBroch you blithering fool.” I snapped. “What is that an accent? Am I supposed to understand that?” He continued. “Is that some sort of twig? Is that your weapon? What are you afraid of, a wee mouse?” I insulted. “ENOUGH!” A voice shouted. Both Jack and I went silent and turned our heads towards the girl with the long hair. “Stop this fighting, you’ve only just met this isn’t the proper way to introduce one another.” The girl stated. “I agree.” Hiccup added as he poked his head out from behind her. I rolled my eyes at her and scoffed. “That wasn’t very lady like.” She stated. I flinched at her comment. “She sounds just like my mother.” I murmured through clenched teeth. “And who are you?” I asked rudely. She seemed taken aback by tone but still offered a kind smile. “I’m Rapunzel.” She stated as she held out her hand. I took it and shook it roughly. “Merida.” I stated back. “And you are?” She asked Hiccup. “Hiccup.” He stated as he gave her his hand to shake. Jack smoothly put his arm around Rapunzel and shot Hiccup a look. Hiccup grinned widely and chuckled to himself. Rapunzel blushed lightly before coughing slightly to urge on the conversation. “Jack why are we here?” Hiccup asked suddenly. Jack shrugged before answering. “Don’t know yet.” He stated. “M.I.M didn’t tell me you two were coming; he led me to Punzie though.” Jack stated. “Who’s M.I.M?” I asked. “The Man in the Moon.” Jack, Hiccup, and Rapunzel said in unison. I looked up at the Moon and stared at it for a moment.  “Ah you all made it!” A loud voice boomed.
