Some people just want to watch the world burn
To stand aside and see its final turn
Wars ravaging and hungers too damaging
As power plants in the palms of the mighty
While the masses manage in fightingSome people want to watch the world aflame
To peer through embers and witness its grave
Plagues and pandemics spreading across terrain
As corpses and chaos come penetrating
While the survivors die in wars wagedSome people just want to watch the world scorch
To gawk as it turns to fiery torch
Greed, wrath, and envy fueled by gluttonous pride
As every man devours the man beside
While the evil keep simpering wideSome people want to watch the world burn
But I -
I just want to light the match.
