Dearest Lover

'Twas a winter night in cold November,
I saw your face amidst the hectic crowd.
They say, "True love, you always remember;
For a single one is all that's allowed."
Your smiling face bewitched with an allure
So great my heart fell short a thousand beats.
Your grace and elegant effects so pure,
My love, I pray someday we may yet meet.
Your bright beauteous eyes did enchant my soul
As wizards do cast their words of power.
My knees, they buckle weak as newborn foals
And seek the shelter of this love of ours.
     Dearest Lover, would'st thou come comfort me
     And give my heart respite from misery?
