Aaron's POV
I sensed a trail of Magic floating by. Why did I have to get this special sense. It was totally useless to me. I glanced over at Mari, she was still cleaning her burnt breakfast off of the pan. I quietly walked past her, tripped on a rock ,and landed on the ground outside.
"Ouch" I felt where I hit my head on the ground. I could feel him getting closer. He was on its way to me. I stood up, and walked the other way. If I got there fast enough, I would be right behind him. Dang it, I lost him. I heard breathing, and I jumped around. There he was. I gasped. I started running as fast as I could in the other direction. I felt him smirk, he was trying to get in my head. I forced myself to keep running.
Don't let it get to you Aaron. Don't. I kept telling myself.
But I know you don't want to Aaron. He told me.
Stop, why do you keep getting me? I asked him in my mind.
Oh, but you know you miss me, Aaron.
Shut Up, Seth. And I stopped myself from letting him get into my head. I had to keep focus. I started turning into my wolf form by instinct. There was no way I could outrun it as a human. He was getting closer. How? No, not again, please don't get me again. But as always, he could always get to me. Why did it have to be me? I fell from being hit it the head resulting into me turning back into a human. He started tying me with a rope. Great. Here we go again.
"Ow!" I emphasized to him. I wasn't going to be nice. Not in a million years.
"Shut up." He ordered me.
"No thanks."
"I said, Shut Up." He got a glowing whip and held it up to my face, "Or I'll hit you with this."
Is he really trying to threaten me? "Go ahead," I tested him.
He turned around quickly and sharply said in my face, "You will do as I say, or you know what. It happened last time with mom, but this time, it's you."
I inhaled sharply at the pain. I felt the mark he left on my back. I guess I'll have another one then. The other one was just about to heal, and that was 3 years ago.
"Is that a yes or no." He tried to threaten me again, but I could hear the pain in his voice. I knew it hurt him to see me like this. But If I could keep this up, I could break him.
"No, not really" I told him sarcastically, "Argh!" I cried in pain. That makes two.
"You will do as I s-say!" I heard his voice break as he sat down on his knees with his head down. He dropped the glowing whip and he was shaking. I could feel his silent cries.
"You win" he said in between his sobs. I easily stood up from the ropes. He needed to get some one better than Loren to train him. I sat next to him as my back was burning from the pain. Couldn't fix this one with Magic, that's what the Magic Whip does. It leaves a scar on you.
"I knew I could always get to you, Seth." I tried talking to him.
"I couldn't bear it, I believed you ever since you said it, I just didn't want you to be right." He wiped his tears away.
"Then look what he made me do, he made me hurt you. I never wanted to follow in his footsteps either, Aaron, I wanted to be just like you." He looked up at me with pain in his eyes. So all this time, all the pain he caused, it was all an act?
"Please forgive me, Aaron, Please, I'm so so s-sorry" he started to cry again. I scooted over closer to him, and I hugged him. He hugged me back and sobbed into my shoulder.
"Shh." I cooed to make his crying lessen. He finally stopped, and that's when I made my decision. I always knew he wasn't like father, he just didn't trust himself. He quietly fell asleep and I picked him up, and made my way back to my little hut. I quietly whispered to him to make sure he didn't wake up.
"I'll always forgive you, little brother"
