Chapter 18: recognize me

I woke to the sound of the co- pilot mouthing something into the microphone so that we were all aware that we would be landing in less than 10 minutes.
I stayed awake and read my book from my favorite author, Lauren Oliver
I immediately fell in love with her after I read her first series.
I stayed awake and Eva & lasey stay sleeping. Wishing I could fall asleep and let the sudden urge to jump out of the plane go away, I stay laying in my seat.
And then all of a sudden.
A text
YOANDRI: hey! How has your trip been so far?
The text was from whatsapp and I had wifi so I was lucky to even be able to reply.
E: hey! I'm almost landing and I got that wifi!!
YOANDRI: hahahah so cool! So how is Amanda
He doesn't know yet. He shouldn't. I can't stand the embarrassment that would invade my entire body if he found out what has been happening for the last month or so.
E: oh she's good
YOANDRI: really, nothing that interesting?
E: nothing much
YOANDRI: can't wait to see you!
E: same <3
And then I already saw the airport and we landed going fast for a second and then slowly decreasing our pace.
Then i woke Eva & lasey up telling them that we have arrived to miami. I fell in love with the place just when I stepped foot outside of the airport. I looked at Eva and lasey and stared around happily. We called a cab to come pick us up and I got a notification from yoandri:
' Hey! How's it looking so far '
I replied with ' mmmhm how can I put this. Great?!' This place is awesome I want to live here.'
' wow so glad you like it! See you soon '
I couldn't wait to see him. I missed him and, I know he missed me too since we have spent a lot of time apart.
As we checked in the hotel and the bellboy took our bags, we went into our hotel room and checked it out. I was impressed. I layed on my bed and the other girls did too. YOANDRI wasn't at the hotel yet, but I made sure to keep an eye out for him and Eva and lasey did too. I went outside to the beautiful lobby and I sat on a chair and waited for him. I was texting when all of a sudden I felt somebody tap my back. I didn't turn around just yet. I faked not feeling anything. Then I turned around and then I looked opened my arms
" hey baby!!" I yelled without opening my eyes to look.
" Ooh so you and Yoandri are giving nicknames to each other now? Wow, progress. "
That's when I finally open my eyes
