They stood in front of a high cupboard. The girl, let's call her Nameless, pointed to the label, 'Mugs.'

"I need you to put me on your back so I can reach one." Nameless said, craning her neck to look up, tucking the book into her back pocket.

He shrugged and crouched so she could get on. He stood up too quickly and they wobbled, Josh's heart lurching. He wasn't even up high but he felt terrified of falling.

"Can you lean in closer?" said Nameless, unphased by the ordeal.

"Sorry, yeah." he took a step closer to the cupboard and he heard a door creaking open from above.

"Got one! Hold it while I get down."

She pushed the mug down to face level. Josh just looked at it, confused as to how he was meant to hold it with his hands already occupied; one hand on Nameless' shin and the other holding onto the tabletop. "Uuuh, with what?"

"Let go of me." she said.

"You'll fall."

"No I won't. Let go."

"...I don't think I...-"

She cut him off, using her free hand to rip his from her leg, shoving his fingers through the handle.

Josh jumped, grabbing back onto her leg as quickly as he could, cup in hand.

"Nyaaaaaah!" She felt him touch her knee, out of reflex she shoved his hand away. "DownDownDown!" she squealed.

Josh dropped and Nameless practically jumped off of him, her book falling out of her pocket.

She shot down to the floor, scratching her knee viciously. Josh only watched in shock.

"Are you okay...?!" he went to aid her, reaching out towards her knee with the hand the cup wasn't in.

"No! Don't touch it!" Nameless hugged her knees closely. "It's fine now."

Josh halted. "What was that all about?"
