If only you knew

Chapter Three

With only five months left Aletta didn't know how to say goodbye, Xavier said that's good because she doesn't have to yet. Aletta just smiled and stood up and she said she would be right back.

Xavier sat and waited for a little while and then he stood up. Aletta came back out and held out her hand it was in a fist and she told him to close his eyes he did and she gave him a necklace. He looked at it with a confused look she said "it was the one..." and he interrupted her and started saying "the one you were wearing when we first met." She looked at him in amazement. He said he will always remember every detail and moment of them being together so that way when they aren't together he will have every moment.

He asked what the necklace was for and she said she will leave it with him when she leaves so he will have a part of her, he was sad about her leaving. Aletta started to cry, she didn't want to leave. Xavier was talking to Aletta and they were both sad that Aletta was leaving.

They decided not to speak about it till one month before it actually happened so they could do everything like they would be together forever, then he had time to ask as many questions about her as he wanted to ask.

They like this idea but it doesn't make their problem go away she still has to leave for her country. Xavier can't wait to see Aletta again Aletta saw him from her window, he was pacing the floor. She held up a note that said are you ok. He replied saying he was just thinking.

She watched as he left every day and was gone for most of the day and she desperately wanted to know where he was going every day. She almost wanted to know as bad as the fact that she didn't want to leave this place, it was like a dream to her. Aletta thought maybe Xavier would tell her, right... wrong he didn't say whenever she asked him, he just avoided it, he said not to be so curious.

She couldn't believe it, he actually wouldn't tell her, he tells her everything. Of course that is what she thought. He still hadn't gotten up to telling her he loved her, so she didn't know how he really felt about her. She was amazed she thought he told her anything she wanted to know. He was so open to anything, nothing was off limits to him. At least that is what she thought until all this happened. She asked where he goes and he just avoided it and went on to something else.

She gave up on figuring it out, then a couple weeks later he walked up to her front door and knocked she answered and was so startled "do you know what would have happened if my mom was home." she said. "we would never be able to talk again" and asked him why he came over to her house, he knows she could get in trouble. Xavier said it was ok he saw her mother leave. Aletta said he should have asked her to come, on the cards from the windows, or met her in between the yards. He wanted to know why she seemed mad at him. She said it was because she thought they told each other everything then he kept where he was going every day a secret from her. He then said he was going to stores every day to find this, and got out a box with a bow on it. She looked at it and then looked up at him and he nodded and motioned her to open it.

She opened it slowly and inside it held an expensive necklace and matching earrings. He said after she gave him the necklace he thought she needed one to replace it, and she should get something from him. She said she was sorry for getting mad and that he does tell her everything, and that she should trust him more. He said "well actually I haven't told you everything, I need to tell you that I..." she interrupted "there's my mom" he jumped into his yard and she went inside. Her mom pulled up and into the driveway and walked inside, by then Aletta had just sat down on the couch.
