The next morning she sat on the front step of Xavier's house. She never got to talk to him before he moved, so she never really got to tell him goodbye. Aletta got very angry that he never told her he was moving. She just couldn't help but think that they grew apart while she was gone.

She was just so angry and she punched their front door. That was when an envelope fell out and right into her lap. The envelope said Aletta on the back; she didn't know what to do.

She paused for a minute and opened it and read it right before she left to go back to her country. The letter said... Aletta, by the time you read this I would have written it 3 months earlier, as long as your visits are still the same times as always. I know you have probably noticed my absence. In the events that happened, (probably punched the door) you found this letter. This is to state to you that I will only be gone for two more months. That's right I'm coming back, don't get too mad, after all I did leave this note for you. I can explain why we left next time you visit. I will be back by then. I cannot wait to see you, one day I spend with you is better than all the days I spend with anyone else, you make every day better. When I am having a bad day and you are here I know that I have someone to talk to, someone that will listen, understand, and know me. We have to leave now so that is all I can write, but I can't wait to see you. Later if I can find the words I might be able to tell you what I have wanted to for a

long time. - Xavier

Aletta thought for a minute about the letter, and then she was told to go "home." Which meant her country, and her country really would never be her home. Right before they left she laid a note on his doorstep then walked onto the bus.

She watched the letter until she was too far to see it from the window.

After a long time in her town, Aletta will finally get to go visit her old home, and Xavier will be back. Aletta had been counting down the days, which had been a lot of days.

Getting on the bus to go home she had a lot of thoughts on her mind. As she sat down she thought, what if he didn't get her letter?

When the bus got to her town she immediately looked at the doorstep the note was gone. That means he read it or it blew away. What if it had blown away and he never got it. She looked up, and the lights were on, maybe he did get the letter.

The bus had dropped her off before she even knew it had stopped. She was lost in her thoughts, because in her mind she can get lost, if she is in there too long.

When she realized the bus had left she got her things and brought them inside. When she was done, and said hi to Wence and Shanna she went next door.

When she walked up to the doorstep, and was about to knock, Xavier opened the door and said hi.

"Did you know I was coming to the door?" She asked.

"I was about to go over to see you at your house."

She asked "how did you know what I was going to do when..."

but he interrupted and said "I know because I know you, and you would do that."

She said she didn't understand how he knew that would happen and what if it didn't. He said he thought she would and if it didn't happen, she wouldn't get the letter, it didn't matter, and he would explain when he got back.

She said it wasn't true and it was a beautiful letter. He said it was really just words on a page. Aletta interrupted and said they were his words, to her. Xavier said his words don't mean anything special. They are words spoken from him to her. She said anyone's words can be special and have meaning if you make them, and mean what you say with them.
