If only you knew

Chapter Thirteen

She was ready to leave, when she was told she couldn't go right now and that it was a bad time to leave so it was being pushed back. She wasn't entirely happy about that. She couldn't do anything to change their minds. She stayed and worked every day.

She went home and went to her room; she looked in her closet, and saw the dresses. She didn't need so many of them. Every day she walked to a house in the country and gave them one or two. She started by giving two of them to the lady who helped her on Aletta's first day. Her clothes looked like they needed a little help.

When Aletta got home every day she went into the kitchen and helped prepare food. She then went and read to the kids in the country. When that was over she went to the center of town and had conversations with all the people. Then at the end of her day she usually worked on the country files. She then went to bed.

When she woke up the next day she looked up and a girl was standing there. She said Aletta was meeting someone today. Aletta got up and then she got a dress on. When she got down stairs she was greeted by an older lady with light brown hair. She was the queen of another country. She wanted to talk about everything Aletta has been doing for the country. She was really impressed in the performance. Aletta was very happy hearing this; she didn't do this to get publicity. She did this to help people. When the older women left, Aletta went on with her day, for the rest it.

She thought it was getting boring after she ran the country for a while. She didn't enjoy it as much as when it was new. She went out, but nothing was the same. She decided to stay up all night to finish anything that needed to be done for the next five weeks in one night, so they had to let her go.

Then the next morning she asked if she could leave. The manager said there was too much work to do for her to leave right now and that was it, she just couldn't go right now. Then Aletta told them about all the work she did last night. They said she could go the equivalent of how much work she did, so she left, she couldn't wait to get going.

Aletta came home again to her home town she was so happy that she would get to stay for longer than the other trips.

Xavier was missing she went to his house but he wasn't there, nothing was there. No furniture or anything she realized they must have moved. She didn't know how she was going to find him, so she went everywhere she could, she also looked at all the places they went together she didn't find him.

Aletta went back to her old home and she looked out the window to their yard and thought of the first time they met. She went to bed and the next day she committed the rest of the day with Wence and Shanna. They went outside to play, but Aletta was sidetracked and didn't pay much attention to them.

They finally got home and her sister couldn't help but ask why she didn't pay much attention to them. Aletta said her mind was a little occupied, and said she was sorry. They asked what for; she said it was about a friend who used to live next door. They asked if it was Xavier. And Aletta said yes, she wasn't sure where he went. Aletta sat and thought why he wouldn't have called or told her that he was leaving. She thought maybe he didn't want to talk to her. Maybe he grew apart from her while she was gone. She didn't want to think about this too much, so she went to bed.
